Yorkshire will be looking towards their star man for a few runs today after a first-innings failure.

Jonny Bairstow, overlooked for England's summer Tests against West Indies and Pakistan, made just five on Saturday batting at three.

Can he give the selectors something to think about when Yorkshire begin their second innings 91 runs behind?

    • We've already had one result in the second round with Somerset completing a superb 167-run victory over Northamptonshire inside two days. After a first day on which 21 wickets fell at Wantage Road, another 19 were accounted for as Somerset became the first side to win two games in the Bob Willis Trophy
    • Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper Tom Moores made a career-best 106 as his side batted all day to be bowled out by Yorkshire for 355 - a 91-run first-innings lead.
    • Jordan Cox became the latest teenager to register a first-class century as Kent piled up 338-1 in reply to 332 all out from Sussex.
    • Essex, winners last week, again look in a good position after bowling out Surrey for 187, Simon Harmer (6-67) and Jamie Porter (4-53) sharing the 10 wickets between them.
    • And Glamorgan fought back well on 181-2 in response to a massive 455-8 from Worcestershire.

    Thunder

I say get the factor 50 at the ready, but there are plenty of thunderstorms forecast today - especially in the west and north of the country, so we may well get a few interruptions. One to keep an eye on.
