  8. 'The draw is disappearing'published at 16:42 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Vic Marks
Ex-England spinner on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

Three wickets in the space of one run and this match has turned in Essex's favour suddenly.

It was a great catch too from Alastair Cook in this light as he had to reach a long way to his left.

Suddenly, the draw is disappearing. Somerset somehow from somewhere need to muster another 100 runs and that's looking a long way away.

    WHAT A CATCH!

Lewis Gregory nicks a beauty from Jamie Porter and Alastair Cook dives to his left and clings on at shoulder height at first slip.

Somerset are collapsing. They've lost three wickets for one run.

  10. 'Lammonby has sparkled'published at 16:37 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Vic Marks
Ex-England spinner on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

It's a terrific innings from Tom Lammonby.

Here he is at Lord's and he's sparkled, he's set the tone.

He's raised his bat there as he's gone off and it's a shame there's not more people in the ground to show their appreciation.

They've lost a couple of quick wickets, but Somerset wouldn't be anywhere near this sort of lead without that innings.

  11. Somerset 187-5published at 16:36 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Davies 0, Gregory 0

So, Somerset have two new men at the crease - Steven Davies and Lewis Gregory. Gregory has come in above Craig Overton at seven.

    Another twist!

Tom Lammonby is struck on the pad pushing forward by Simon Harmer and it's given out. Looked a good shout.

  15. Somerset 182-3published at 16:28 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

Good comeback from Simon Harmer after conceding nine in his previous over. Just the single from it.

  16. 'Lammonby staying positive'published at 16:26 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Varun Chopra
Essex batsman on BBC 5 Radio Live Sports Extra

Somerset showing more intent here despite losing that wicket.

Even if they get bowled out for about 270 from here, they'll want to make sure they get that lead past 200 in an aggressive manner and Tom Lammonby's certainly continuing to try and play in that positive way.

  17. Somerset 181-3published at 16:25 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Lammonby 110, Bartlett 5

Somerset are looking busy now as three singles come off Jamie Porter's over.

The lead is up to 145. 26 overs remain tonight, but it's very doubtful we'll get all those in with heavy cloud cover.

  18. Somerset 178-3published at 16:22 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Lammonby 108, Bartlett 4

Couple of lovely shots as Simon Harmer concedes nine off the over.

First Tom Lammonby skips down the pitch and slots him past mid-on to the rope.

George Bartlett finishes the over by using his feet to drive the spinner for four.

  19. Somerset 169-3published at 16:17 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Lead by 133

Jamie Porter isn't giving anything away - apart from a single to Tom Lammonby. George Bartlett was beaten all ends up by a beauty that nipped away in that over.

It's still fairly gloomy at Lord's, but dry.

  20. Somerset 168-3published at 16:14 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Lammonby 102, Bartlett 0

Simon Harmer is beginning to find a bit of turn. Just a single to Tom Lammonby off his 17th over.

George Bartlett is the new man in for Somerset after Eddie Byrom's dismissal.
