  2. 'Great composure and fluency'published at 16:07 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

    Vic Marks
Ex-England spinner on BBC Radio 5 live Sports Extra

Bear in mind Tom Lammonby's never played a first-class game before this summer, he's facing the best team in the country, he's in a Lord's final and he was on a king pair in this innings, he's played with great fluency.

He's had his moments of great risk and fortune, but he has taken on the bowling and scored runs in unusual areas.

It's the sheer composure of him so early in his career that's stood out in this innings.

All three times Tom Lammonby has gone past fifty in his short first-class career he's converted them into hundreds.

    Thanks Adam.

I've just had a quick glance at the rain radar and there's a big blob sitting right over the north stretch of the M25... heading towards Lord's.

But that's where the rain's been coming from today and we've got away with it so far. Can our luck continue?

Somerset 159-2 (lead by 123) - tea, day four

    Varun Chopra
Essex batsman on BBC 5 Radio Live Sports Extra

From the Somerset point of view it couldn't have gone much better in that session. For the openers to put on just over 100 was a fantastic effort and they've picked up the run-rate since then.

  14. Somerset 159-2published at 15:35 British Summer Time 26 September 2020

So, Somerset move on from 12-0 to 159-2 during the course of that session.

Tom Lammonby has scored 85 of those runs. His 94 not out has come from 123 balls including 15 fours.

With a lead of 123 and eight wickets in hand, Somerset can control this match for the rest of the day you feel.

    Varun Chopra

Floodlights do change the conditions. It is more difficult to see the ball if you're in the field and as a batsman facing it, the ball can do a lot more and misbehave.

And after I mentioned it was getting gloomier, on come the floodlights as we approach tea.
