Pakistan captain Babar Azam on BBC One: "We started well, but they got 20 or 30 runs extra.

"We were trying to chase. After six overs, we couldn't continue the partnership and lost wickets.

"We'll try to win the final match."

England captain Jos Buttler on BBC One: "I loved it. It's great to be back with the boys. It was a really clinical performance.

"I was a bit nervous coming into today. I enjoyed it. It was great to be back out there.

"We've got a lot of options and that's fantastic for us. It was nice to give Mo that opportunity today. It was a great all-round performance from him.

"I thought the leg-spinners bowled really well together. Parky in particular bowled with a huge amount of skill."

Mark Wood and Jofra Archer to come back. Ben Stokes and Eoin Morgan not even playing today.

Saqib Mahmood getting better all the time.

    Spinners on fire.

    And a ridiculous batting line-up.

Double world champions is a very realistic aim.

Livingstone is becoming a class act. I've not seen a bigger six at Headingley.

England batter Liam Livingstone on BBC One: "I felt like I've been playing well for a while. The work I've been doing away from the game is starting to pay off."

On batting lower down the order: "It's a litle bit easier when you come in because there are more men out. I haven't tried to change too much. I've tried harder to hit yorkers, and not overhit the ball. I've been working on trying to make myself adaptable because it's pretty much a no-go at the top of the order.

"The harder you swing, the less far it goes. It's hard to swing at 80%. It's nice to be striking it cleanly and it's nice to be contributing to the team and it's even better to get the win."

That was a pitch you want to bat first on because it did take spin and it did slow down.

Pakistan made a mistake at the toss and made a lot of mistakes with bat in hand.

Jos Buttler said after losing the toss that it can be hard when batting first to be able to judge what a good score is.

It can also be hard to judge whether the pitch will play differently when batting second.

There was spin on offer at the end of England's innings and that was a very bad omen for Pakistan.

Babar Azam will certainly rue his decision. Though his batters were poor against spin too.

England were very, very impressive, particularly with the ball in hand. All the bowlers had a good afternoon out. And you expect that from England with the bat.

It won't be the last. Especially with the World T20 in the UAE and Oman this year.
