My wife likes to take the stick out of a Magnum and eat it out of a bowl with a fork. She's not posh, just a bit daft.

This is excellent from Mahmood. Four dots. Such a tight line.

Sam Kershaw: Have two choc ices then. Eat the bottom from one and the top from another. Then there is no gooey mess in the wrapper.
Saqib Mahmood, so impressive this summer, sharing the new ball.
Question. How do you get Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood and possibly Sam Curran into this England side?

That was a good decision from the umpire, and also by Eoin Morgan not to waste a review. It was a fine catch by Jos Buttler but it was all thigh pad.
Out?
That's looped up off Rizwan and Jos Buttler has taken a diving catch.
Lots of noise in the crowd but no one in the middle is interested. Replays show it was a very good decision.

This is arguably England's strongest T20 side. It's a fresh pitch, straw coloured, and you would expect more of the same with the batting from both sides.
Surely cutting a choc ice leads to more mess? You just have to get your chops around it.

My dad surprised me with a choc ice recently. In an old school red and white striped wrapper. On a plate. And with a knife!
Mel in Bristol
The noise is unreal.

From an England point of view, leading into the T20 World Cup, the Sri Lanka series they didn't really get out of second gear but this series against Pakistan has been a real test. These are two really strong T20 sides. Pakistan have the talent to win the World Cup. You need that test, not just your skills but your character as well.
Here we go then.
22,000 people inside Old Trafford are going a particular kind of bonkers as the players emerge.
Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan to open for Pakistan. David Willey has the ball.

I've done many silly things in my time but having a garden bonfire today was not my finest move. Looking forward to the cricket, though.
Christine Atkinson, Isle of Wight
Good call. There won't be any mess at the top.

Sam Kershaw: Try eating your choc ice from the bottom first.
Turns out it's quite hard to write a text commentary whilst eating an ice cream.
The players about the enter the fray. There's already deafening noise from tooting horns and nothing has happened yet.

Eoin Morgan said he wanted to look at some other players ahead of that World Cup and he has done that this summer. It's a shame for Matt Parkinson not to get a game on his home ground, having bowled so well recently.

Pakistan won when they batted first and there was criticism for winning the toss batting second - although there were some stats backing that up. England, though, were so strong, especially with their spinners.
They will know it's a good batting wicket. Pakistan have a strong bowling attack and will want to get momentum going into a series with West Indies with a win under their belts.
