That's a really good way to go to your fifty.

'High Ho Silver Lining' blares out over the speakers between overs and the fans sing along. Amid the blare of horns that follow Jason Roy picks up back-to-back boundaries off Shadab Khan, reaching his half-century off the first bullied square of the wicket.

The danger overs are the overs from the two leg-spinners. How England manage those will help determine the outcome of the game.
Dawid Malan is the new man at the crease for England. He typically takes a little while to get going and is in a bit of poor run of scores with the bat so is fairly watchful to an over from Usman Qadir.

I'll show you how it's done, says the Pakistan captain.

Another beauty from Shadab Khan - similar to the one that was dropped. Well done to Babar Azam. He told everyone to get out of the way. He really ran across the surface with some purpose.
Buttler c Babar b Shadab 21 (Eng 67-1)
Jos Buttler toe ends Shadab Khan high into the dusk sky, and gets away with it. The next ball he reverse pulls the ball behind square for four.
However, Buttler's scruffy innings comes to an end when he skies another one and this time is caught by Pakistan captain Babar Azam at long-off.
The England fans in the crowd loved this six from Jason Roy, who is 44 not out at the moment.

England are feasting at the moment.
Jason Roy takes a shine to Usman Qadir as he also reverse pulls the leg-spinner for four, then conventionally sweeps him next ball for the same result.
A profitable over for England.

He could have played an orthodox shot at that and still got four for it. If you can reverse hit like that, then why not do it?
Mohammed Rizwan is chirping behind the stumps as Usman Qadir comes into bowl. The Pakistan leggie pulls out of his delivery, half warning Jason Roy about backing up too far.
Jos Buttler releases the pressure on himself with a stylish reverse pull for four.

Beautiful shot - a classical on-drive. A little bit aerial but safe enough.
Spot on, Jack.
Jason Roy with a beaming smile after a lofted drive for four down the ground but Hasan Ali isn't happy, thinking mid-on should have got himself across and dived, but it was struck too powerfully.

Jack W Fenwick: Praying Jason Roy doesn’t get out, he’s playing on a different pitch to everyone else.
A roar from the Pakistan fans as Mohammed Rizwan throws the ball in the air after Hasan Ali beat Jos Buttler outside off stump, but there's no edge.
Buttler is struggling to get going.

A pretty good start for England - they'll be happy with nine down. If these two give themselves time to get in, they can be pretty devastating as the innings goes on.
Shaheen Afridi took some tap earlier. Here's Jason Roy having some fun.
