That might look unlucky, but Mahmood has struggled to execute a skill. I'm not sure what he's trying to bowl there.

Eoin Morgan has a brief conflab with Saqib Mahmood and calms the nerves of the Lancashire man. Another flash of the blade from Hasan Ali and this time it takes the edge and goes over Jos Buttler's head for four. You cannot set a field for that.

That's a huge blow, to the biggest part of the ground. There are big areas square of the wicket and Pakistan have rarely knocked it into a gap for two - they are always looking for a big shot.

Hasan Ali doesn't make a mistake this time with a premeditated whack on to the leg side for a six which bounces into the stands packed with jubilant Pakistan fans. A wistful look from Saqib Mahmood.
