Virat Kohli is looking good. He is looking better than at any point in this series.

He'll have enjoyed the fact he could come to the crease when the bowlers were tired, and the ball was old. He's barely missed a ball.

Another nicely timed clip through midwicket from Kohli. England haven't actually bowled that badly at him, but worryingly for them, he's been faultless since he came out to bat.

Time for a drink. I think I could do with a coffee, to be fair.

That shot is a bit ominous for England.

That was a nicely timed stroke by Virat Kohli. There was a little bit of inswing.

  5. Ind 168-2published at 62 overs

Another four for Kohli, this time clipped through midwicket with ease off Sam Curran.

Bless Curran - he is giving it everything but there has been nothing there for him today.

Craig Overton toils away for another decent over but it's all looking a little bit flat now. England need some magic.

Joe Root tried to get some magic out of his main man Anderson when Kohli came in, but it didn't quite work.

  8. Ind 162-2published at 60 overs

Kohli effortlessly pulls Sam Curran for four, the youngster not generating enough pace to trouble him.

Curran gets some extra bounce from the last ball though, that surprises Kohli and gets the edge - but he plays it so softly it goes straight down to the ground.

And in very contrasting cricket news...

This year's Caribbean Premier League got under way yesterday, and it has descended into a lot of fun already.

Jamaica Tallawahs have just made 255-5 from 20 overs!

West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell smashed a 14-ball unbeaten 50 - the quickest in CPL history. Kenner Lewis made 48 off 21 balls, Chadwick Walton 47 and Haider Ali 45.

It wasn't a day for the bowlers. Pakistan's Wahab Riaz went for 61 from three overs, while Obed McCoy went for 52 - but did take three wickets - from four overs.

    Yeah, they're not going anywhere.

A maiden from Craig Overton. The Barmy Army are still going, trying to inject some life into this for England.

You could say that England got a bit of luck with their one wicket of the session so far, but they'll need a bit more of it.

Kohli and Pujara are in this for the long haul.

John Petrie: Kohli and Pujara look set for a long stay. Not just saying that because I have tickets for the fifth day.

A quiet over from Sam Curran, who is getting a bit of swing but not enough to threaten.

I think this could be a long session for England. (And for me.)

  14. Ind 157-2published at 57.1 overs

Rory Burns pulls out a stunning dive at cover to prevent Kohli from getting a boundary. Looks as if he's hurt his hand, which he resolves by rubbing the ground a bit like he's stroking a dog.

James Anderson conceded 20 in that two-over spell. His previous 22 overs in the match had gone for just 32.

It is now 67 overs this summer without taking a wicket in the second innings.

  16. Ind 156-2published at 57 overs

    Pujara 70, Kohli 10

Craig Overton replaces Anderson, who wasn't able to find his rhythm as Joe Root would've liked.

He's driven down the ground for four by Pujara - not the most expansive shot, but effective. His scoring is taking the pressure off Kohli - not sure that's been said too many times before.

I'm in the bar behind the East Stand, which vaguely resembles a working men's club. There's a group sat around a long table that is covered by a paper Union flag tablecloth. They're having a lovely time. Another chap has used a cardboard box from Amazon to transport his drinks from the bar. There looked to be about nine in there.

This is hard work for England's bowlers. India will not have any sympathy, given they toiled for much longer.

Another good spell from Robinson, but Kohli is giving nothing away here. He looks determined.

James Anderson hasn't been at his best today. For whatever reason you just have days where you're not quite there, and he has been chasing it a bit. It only takes a little bit of magic and he'll have a wicket or two. He's never far away from rhythm.

Cricket's weird, isn't it? James Anderson was unplayable on day one and everyone (myself definitely included) were relishing in it. Conditions were more favourable for bowling, granted - but just two days later and everything's changed.

He gifts Pujara two more balls on his legs that he gratefully whips away for four each time.
