Cheteshwar Pujara has played with good intent. It looks like he is looking to score.

  3. Ind 143-2published at 54 overs

A decent enough over from Ollie Robinson, who has probably been England's best bowler today.

And now Pujara goes into T20 mode with an uppercut over the slips for four! Lovely shot.

James Anderson won't be happy with that over at all.

  7. Ind 138-2published at 53 overs

Kohli wins the first over, clipping a four off his legs as Anderson strays down the leg side and then cover driving gloriously to the boundary.

In between the fours, Pujara takes three down to third man as Haseeb Hameed completes a long chase. An expensive over from the leader of England's attack.

And the crowd sparks to life because we've got Anderson v Kohli again!

He didn't bowl his best this afternoon, but if anything can fire him up, it's this.

That is another very good decision by the umpire. It will get Virat Kohli thinking, though.

Replays show it was both high and outside the line, although the batter wasn't playing a shot. Good decision! Nervy times for Kohli, who gets off the mark with an unconvincing edge into the off side.

Robinson bowls a no-ball, but eventually wraps up the over with a dot.

That must have been very close indeed. It was a lovely piece of bowling again.

  12. Ind 124-2published at 51.4 overs

Another big shout, this one on Kohli! Traps him on the back leg, nipping back in from Robinson ...

Joe Root doesn't review. High? Outside the line?

  13. Ind 124-2published at 51.2 overs

The slips go up for an lbw appeal on Pujara, but bowler Ollie Robinson doesn't even give it a thought as it's going down leg.

They scamper a single to bring Kohli back on strike.

At the other end, Virat Kohli is yet to score. He's only faced five balls but England clearly want to keep him on nought for as long as possible.

The crowd are cheering each of his dot balls like a wicket.

That was a bit of a hack by Pujara. It wasn't one of those emphatic pulls that you see.

I imagine his fifty feels like 150 to him at the moment. It is nice to see Virat Kohli give him more than just a glove tap too, because he really has been having a crisis.

And he brings up his half-century with an uppish pull off Craig Overton. It's come from 91 balls and included nine fours.

It is good to see this from Cheteshwar Pujara. This is how he used to play when he was in form. The drives and back-foot punch we haven't tended to see in the last year or so.

Another tidy over from Ollie Robinson, conceding just one as Pujara clips off his legs to fine leg. Pujara, who couldn't buy a run in the past couple of Tests, is all of a sudden batting with supreme confidence even when he's leaving or defending the ball.

Jarvo is back. Jonny Bairstow is, quite rightly, fuming, kicking a batting glove at him. The way he was wrestled from the field was, erm, undignified.

Amongst the excitement of a wicket, a spectator managed to make his way out onto the pitch. Seems to be a bit of a trend at the cricket this summer.
