An update from the England camp on Sam Billings, who left the field earlier with a shoulder problem: “Sam Billings has sprained his collar bone joint. It’s not related to the previous shoulder injury he suffered in 2019. It’s sore, he’s currently receiving treatment and we are hopeful he will be able to bat later.”

England have fought back very well in the last 30 minutes. India were 169-1 after 32 overs. Hardik Pandya is the new man.

We have news about Sam Billings too...

Oh Shikhar! What a way to go on 98! India's opener has smacked a pull straight to Eoin Morgan at mid-wicket. He has to trudge off two short of a century. Ben Stokes has bowled some dross but has 2-26.

Airline pilot studies? Chris is living the dream. I like the idea that a pilot will one day be reading our live texts at 40,000 feet.

The sun is starting to set in Pune giving Sam Curran's hair a orangey glow. Curran concedes one from the over. Good stuff.

Is it good news? Are we going to get energy from sewage sludge? I didn't think I'd be writing that this morning.

Stokes throws his hands over his head when a good yorker is clipped away by Dhawan. Don't miss that.

Tuesday excitement? I'm waiting for client feedback on a report I've overseen on potential energy and nutrient recovery from sewage sludge in Europe. It's jobs like this that get me out of bed in the morning!

It's wouldn't be a cricket match without a delay because of a problem with the sightscreen. Ben Stokes, who is about to return to the attack, is being made to wait.

  9. Ind 193-3published at 36 overs

    Dhawan 95, Rahul 5

Sam Curran ruffles his bleach blonde top before rushing in, bouncing KL Rahul and finding the right-hander's edge. The edge is thick enough that the ball goes wide of Jos Buttler diving to his right and even runs down for four.

Unfortunate for the younger Curran brother.

My neighbour has just started some drilling. It's a lovely soundtrack to this ODI. When I say lovely I mean really, really annoying.

    Dhawan is back on strike...

Really good from Mark Wood. Eoin Morgan is potentially leaving himself a little bit short handed at the death, but they needed wickets now and his strike bowler has delivered.

Another wicket for Mark Wood! He has drawn a false shot from Shreyas Iyer who chips a leading edge high into the off side. Sub fielder Liam Livingstone rushes in from deep extra cover, slides forward onto his knees and takes the catch. Good grab.

Hopefully that shoulder injury to Billings isn’t too serious. He has previously dislocated one - which isn’t pleasant!

  16. Ind 187-2published at 34.2 overs

Shreyas Iyer is a man in form. We saw that in the T20s. He has not been in long but he takes a Wood bouncer off his nose and the ball whistles to the boundary.

    Let's hope Billings is OK.

A cut to the boundary takes Shikhar Dhawan to 95.

  19. Ind 179-2published at 33.2 overs

Liam Livingstone is on as a sub. He can replace Billings in the field but won't be able to bat instead of him.

The injury looks to be the same shoulder Billings injured in 2019. An operation caused him to miss the World Cup on that occasion.

Sam Billings has dislocated his shoulder before. He's up now but is trudging back towards the dressing room.

The way the Kent batsman is holding his arm across his body suggests it's bad.
