  3. 'That's how we'll continue to play'published at 16:23 Greenwich Mean Time 23 March 2021

England captain Eoin Morgan: "I think we did a lot of things right today. If you got yourself in there was plenty of reward for the batsmen. We failed to build on that.

"When we have bad days with the bat, it can look worse than it is. We have to execute better than we did. We pride ourselves on being able to take the attack to the bowler, strike-rates are always increasing and with one eye on the World Cup we want to push the envelope in that regard.

"Sometimes we don't get that right, but for us it's better to lose like than than fall 20-30 runs short. That's how we'll continue to play."What do you need to change? "Just the execution. I thought the bowling was outstanding. Batting from the middle order needs to improve."

India captain Virat Kohli: "This is one of our sweetest victories in our recent past. It is right up there purely because from 135-1 getting nine wickets is simply outstanding. I am a really, really proud man right now."

"For us losing like that is better than losing by 10 or 20 runs playing a different way," Morgan says.
