    It's been a session of two halves for Yorkshire who started so well but have just lost their fifth wicket in the final over before lunch.

    Harry Brook is bowled by Delray Rawlins for 14, with the wicket coming shortly after Gary Ballance was dismissed for 18.

    Hugely important wickets for Sussex before lunch, taking the in-form Adam Lyth and England captain Joe Root out of the action in the first session.

    Hampshire 63-1 v Gloucestershire

    Hampshire are making steady progress in the clash at the top of Group Two.

    Not many fireworks since Dominic Goodman removed Joe Weatherley to leave the hosts on 19-1 in the eleventh over.

    Ian Holland has reached the boundary six times in his 36, with Tom Alsop unbeaten on 17 at the other end.

    Colin Ackermann has just fallen lbw to Marchant de Lange to follow the dismissals of Marcus Harris and Harry Dearden.

    Somerset will feel they've shaded the first session now, even with Hassan Azad looking good once again on 36 not out.

    Lancashire are fighting back after the early loss of their openers in Canterbury.

    Luke Wells has added 28 and Josh Bohannon eight, to take them over 50 from 27 overs.

    Earlier, Alex Davies went for one, before one-time England man Keaton Jennings was dismissed for 16 by Darren Stevens.

    It's not been a first session to remember for the England batsmen.

    Dan Lawrence is the latest to go cheaply, caught at mid-wicket off paceman Olly Stone.

    Rory Burns, Ollie Pope, Joe Root, Ben Foakes and now Lawrence have now all gone without going past 25.

    George Garton is bowling superbly and his third wicket of the day is none other than England skipper Joe Root.

    Root tries a shot across his pads but misjudges Garton's delivery and it hits him in front of his stumps - he knows he's gone and starts walking almost before the umpire's signal.

    Having been 60-1 Yorkshire have lost three wickets for just 15 runs.

    The Glamorgan opener has reached his half-century and has done so as his team have lost a couple of quick wickets.

    Gareth Berg is the man who has done the damage for Northants, claiming the wickets of Nick Selman (17) and Andrew Balbirnie (3) within the space of three overs.

    Two stumps are sent flying out of the ground as George Garton beats Tom Kohler-Cadmore all-ends-up to claim his second wicket of the day.

    It's an emphatic dismissal from the left-arm bowler and after looking so settled, Yorkshire are suddenly two down.

    First wicket for Sussex and it's a big one.

    They've removed the form batsman of the County Championship, with Tom Clark catching Adam Lyth at mid-wicket off the bowling of George Garton.

    Lyth has scored 422 runs from his five innings so far this season and had looked set to add another big score today before chipping to Clark to bring his innings to a close.

    The England batsman drives at one from Toby Roland-Jones, edges it, and is snaffled at slip by Sam Robson.

    Surrey are in a bit of trouble now at 51-3.
