    That's stumps on day three.

Middlesex are well and truly in the driving seat with Sussex still trailing by 269.

Following his fantastic career-best 156 in the first innings, Sussex opener Tom Haines (39 not out) will begin day four needing another 18 runs to become the first batsman to 1,000 in the County Championship this summer.

    Sussex 319 & 79-2 (f/o) v Middlesex 676-5 dec

    Two overs to go tonight.

Tom Haines will probably have to wait until the morning to try and get to 1,000 runs for the season.

He's on 982, just behind Durham's David Bedingham who has 992.

Just a reminder that this game started a day later than the rest so they'll finish tomorrow.

Wicket number seven today for Luke Hollman!

Ben Brown is stumped for the second time today also to the same bowler!

Brown tries to sweep the spinner but drags his foot out the crease and John Simpson whips off the bails. Smart glovework.

Late blow for the hosts at Hove.

Nottinghamshire had to work hard for this win. But boy what a victory, they now go 10.5 points clear at the top of Division One.
