    And another!

Both overnight batsman have now fallen in the first 30 minutes of day three.

Another cracker from Tom Bailey who's finding plenty of movement, swinging one into Lewis Goldsworthy's pads.

Not much the batsman could have done there. A top delivery from the Lancashire paceman.

Somerset are 34 away from making Lancs bat again.

    A gift.

Not sure what James Hildreth is attempting here but he gets it all wrong, going on the attack and playing a leading edge straight to point.

Tom Bailey has his first wicket and Lancashire sense something. Somerset still need 50 runs to make their opponents bat again.

So with covers on and rain falling at several places, looks like players will be heading to the indoor nets to pass the time for a few hours.

On that theme and with the end of the outdoor season approaching, what are your indoor cricket stories from recent past?

It's been a few years since I (Adam) turned my arm over for a bit of six-a-side, hit the corners action but about 12 years ago, I did find myself lining-up against a promising 16-year-old called Ollie Robinson.

Let's just say, he stood out as the best performer by some distance!

  13. Hildreth moves higher in history bookspublished at 10:36 British Summer Time 14 September 2021

    Lancashire 373, Somerset 90 and 229-4

Much will depend on Somerset batsman James Hildreth with the hosts resuming at Taunton this morning still needing another 57 runs to make Lancashire bat again.

But, win or lose in this game, the newly-turned 37-year-old has already left his mark on this match.

With his score on 12 yesterday, Hildreth overtook Peter Wight's tally of 16,965 runs to move him into third place in Somerset's list of all-time highest first-class run scorers.

He is now behind only Harold Gimblett (21,142) and Marcus Trescothick (19,654).

"James Hildreth's achievement is amazing" said Somerset team-mate Stuart Lammonby. "I can only wonder, like many others, why he has never played Test cricket."

Two balls into the third morning at Sophia Gardens and Glamorgan have struck!

David Lloyd has trapped Graeme van Buuren leg before as he tried to play him away on the legside without him adding to his overnight 65.

Gloucestershire are five wickets down now and still 85 runs behind Glamorgan's first-innings 309.
