Ruaidhri Smith attempts a reverse sweep, fails to make contact and is bowled behind his legs.

That's a five-for for Zafar Gohar and Timm van der Gugten walks out to bat with 16 still needed to make Gloucestershire bat again in this match.

    Yorkshire 108 & 69-5 v Warwickshire 155 & 176

Another big one for Warwickshire just as Harry Brook was finding his timing.

Chris Woakes has his third and Tim Brensan has a fourth catch in the slips.

But did this carry? It certainly went low to the fielder. Umpire Nigel Llong upholds his decision though, and Brook has to go.

Spinner Zafar Gohar has his fourth wicket of the innings at Sophia Gardens with Andrew Salter leg-before. Glamorgan need another 26 to avoid the prospect of an innings defeat in Division Two.

No wickets yet in Division Two, with Glamorgan advancing to 74-6 against Gloucestershire, still needing another 36 to avoid an innings defeat.

Northamptonshire are 21-0 against Durham at Wantage Road - they need another 196 to make the north-easterners bat again.

Hashim Amla - no stranger to rearguard actions this season - is 58 not out for Surrey, who are 107-7, replying to Essex's 439 all out.

There has been no play yet in Leicester as groundstaff continue mopping up after yesterday's rain, with the home side set to resume on 291-2 against Sussex. There will be an inspection at 11:10.

Kent are batting on against Derbyshire and have reached 172-1 - with Jordan Cox 72 not out - which gives them a lead of 302.

Middlesex's lead over Worcestershire is now 212 as they have progressed to 239-6, with John Simpson 59 not out and Luke Hollman on 46.

We assume decisions about who could and could not play in this round of games were made by the ECB. But not having James Anderson and Jos Buttler didn't harm Lancashire's chances against Somerset.

From the third ball, Chris 'Wizard' Woakes finds Gary Ballance's edge and sees the ball fly to Sam Hain at second slip.

What a game we have in store for you at Headingley.

Yorkshire need 174 to win, Warwickshire need seven wickets after Liam Norwell removed Dawid Malan from the last ball of day two.

After a washout on day three, we're back to see this Division One match-up over the line.

Gary Ballance (21 not out) is joined by new man Harry Brook at the crease. England's Chris Woakes will bowl the first over.

  14. How is the title race looking?published at 10:24 British Summer Time 15 September 2021

Hampshire's win over Nottinghamshire on Tuesday took them to the top of the Division One table with 58.5 points, four ahead of Lancashire, who beat Somerset earlier in the day.

Whoever wins at Headingley will go second - victory would give Yorkshire 57.5 points or Warwickshire 55 - and Notts are not out of it on 52.

Whoever loses between Yorkshire and Warwickshire will still be mathematically in contention, but not realistically so, as Lancashire and Hampshire meet in the final round of games next week.

    Yorkshire v Warwickshire - play starts 10:30

    Tim BresnanImage source, Rex Features

Warwickshire all-rounder Tim Bresnan believes they have the bowling quality to win at Headingley and deal a potentially fatal blow to former club Yorkshire's title hopes.

Following Tuesday's wash-out, Yorkshire need another 174 on the final day - with the winners of the game set to go into next week's final round of fixtures in second place.

"I think we do (have enough runs on the board) with the attack we've got this game," said Bresnan, who spent 19 years on the Yorkshire staff.

"Chris Woakes has been massive for us. He's bowled superbly, backed up well by everyone else."

  16. Essex secure on top of Div Twopublished at 10:20 British Summer Time 15 September 2021

Essex look certain to remain top of Division Two, whether or not they manage to bowl Surrey out quickly and enforce the follow-on at the Oval.

For second-placed Northamptonshire, the final day will all be about trying to avoid defeat by Durham, giving Gloucestershire the chance to move above them if they can complete a victory in Cardiff.

Expect an early declaration by Kent in Division Three as they are already 276 ahead against Derbyshire, and we could also see a run-chase at Lord's, depending on how generous Division Three leaders Middlesex are feeling in their game against Worcestershire.

It's hard to see anything other than a draw at Leicester, where Hassan Azad and Lewis Hill are respectively 122 and 109 not out against Sussex and the match is still in the first innings.

  17. Weather outlookpublished at 10:15 British Summer Time 15 September 2021

It was pretty miserable in many areas yesterday, with not even a single ball of play possible at six grounds. Today, the prospects are much better. Here's BBC Weather's Simon King with the forecast.
