"After playing carefully early on, Buttler unleashed..." You can devour the verdict on England's eight-wicket win courtesy of my colleague Amy Lofthouse in her report which you can read here...

England captain Eoin Morgan on making changes to his side for the second T20 on Thursday: "There is a chance. Playing back-to-back games is strenous on international bodies, so we might look at tinkering with things tomorrow."
The second T20 is tomorrow in Cardiff. Should England make any changes?
Here's the winning run from Jos Buttler. It was a bit of anti-climatic way to win the game after what was otherwise a "masterclass" of an innings from Buttler (Eoin Morgan's words).
Player of the match Jos Buttler: "It was a nice innings with Jason Roy to get things going. When you are chasing a not-so-big score you can afford sit on a few more balls to get used to the pitch.
"There were short boundaries straight and a lot of twos as well. It's about batting in partnerships. I thought it was a fantastic performance, the runs in the powerplay got us ahead."

England were just class in every department. Their fielding was faultless; the death bowling was great; the spinners in the middle; Liam Livingstone getting his first wicket, showed that he can offer something. Adil Rashid was again class.
England captain Eoin Morgan: "It's quite a comprehensive performance when you look at it from start to finish. Our bowlers have made us look extremely good today.
"Roy and Buttler laid that platform for us to kick on, and Jos just showed how class he is with the masterclass he provided today."
Sri Lanka captain Kusal Perera: "We didn't get enough runs on the board. Our bowlers did a good job but credit to England. We are backing our batting but the middle order collapsed. We are backing our strength and that's why we batted first. We have to discuss things as a batting unit."
On Wanindu Hasaranga, who finished with 0-12 from four overs: "He is bowling really well. He did the right things today."

Building up to this World Cup, they've now got an opportunity over the next few months to just have a look at people - Liam Livingstone, I'm sure David Willey will get a chance, you've got the likes of Sam Billings. These guys on the fringes - as a captain you want to have a look at them.
A different story for Dawid Malan. He'll be itching to put the right tomorrow when these sides meet again in a game which is live on BBC Two.

A great start to the white-ball summer. England were just too good - an absolutely ruthless performance.
That really was a classy knock from Jos Buttler. He quickly got to grips with the conditions and mixed up powerful striking with deft timing. If England are to win the T20 World Cup later in the year he is going to be key.

England showed their quality right from the start - with the new ball, all the way through the first innings, and Jos Buttler standing out in particular with the bat. He's there seeing it through at the end, which is what you want from one of your senior players.

Mark Burt: Buttler delivering the silver service tonight. Sublime and controlled innings.

As complete a performance as you could wish to see for England.
