There's 1500 people here and they are making some decent noise inside Sophia Gardens. One or two Sri Lankan flags being waved and a few Welsh ones in among them. England, meanwhile, are in cruise control on the pitch.

Mark: Note to opposition: don’t hit ball in air to Chris Jordan.

    Run rate 5.88

Chris Jordan unfurls a wicked slower ball that ends up clattering Dasun Shanaka on the wrist, before a single brings up the Sri Lanka 100.

It's not been easy out there.

Speaking of Chris Jordan, he's back on to bowl.

Adil Rashid showed his class there. He saw Wanindu Hasaranga advancing down the wicket and held it back. I look at the England fielders patrolling the boundary and there's not a weak link there. It was a comfortable catch by Chris Jordan, who always seems to be stationed in a position where he is going to see the most action.

    Hasaranga c Jordan b Rashid 5 (SL 96-6)

    Another catch for Chris Jordan!

Temptingly tossed up by Adil Rashid and Hasaranga obliges by not getting under the ball and instead lofting it straight to Jordan at long-on.

Sri Lanka need to go at 10 an over from here to have any chance. Eoin Morgan is a cool under pressure in the fast-paced nature of T20 cricket. He's so calm as a captain which is exactly what you want.

Mark Wood readjusts his line after the early over mauling, but his work for the day is done. He finishes with 1-33 from his four overs, with 10 dot balls.

Mark Wood will be a bit disappointed with how he has bowled today. He's been a little expensive. The guys with pace off the ball, who have used their variations, have looked a little bit more effective.

    Four more!

Wood tumbles over in his follow-through and looks up in time to see another thrash of a cut go flying to the backward point boundary.

    Hello!

That's a cracking shot from Dasun Shanaka, jumping on a bit of width from Mark Wood and cutting it hard to the boundary for four.

Mark Wood is coming on to bowl his final over - here's how he struck a little earlier.

Wanindu Hasaranga is the next batter and he gets off the mark with a leisurely single.

The last thing Sri Lanka wanted. Kusal Perera didn't pick up the length or that the ball came out of the back of Adil Rashid's hand. That's their best player back in the pavilion.

    WICKETpublished at 13.1 overs

    Perera c Jordan b Rashid 30 (SL 79-5)

I simply would not hit the ball to Chris Jordan.

With the pressure building, Kusal Perera tries to rock back and loft Adil Rashid in the stands. But again, there's no pace on the ball, and it ends up being a rather simple - by his standards, anyway - grab for Chris Jordan strolling towards mid-off.

  19. SL 79-4published at 13 overs

Crack goes Dasun Shanaka's bat as he swipes Chris Woakes high over mid-wicket...

Jason Roy comes charging across, sensing a catch, but he overruns the ball a touch, and ends up sliding along the floor to ping the ball back. Great effort.

  20. SL 77-4published at 12.5 overs

Jason Roy follows that bit of excellence up with a scruffy misfield that allows Sri Lanka to take an easy single. He's, er, not best pleased with himself.

Chris Woakes bangs down a couple of good, sharp short balls that Dasun Shanaka can't do anything with.
