Well, 28 from two overs is still some going but it is a momentum shift - and these two players are good enough to clear the ropes as they have just shown.

  2. Somerset 123-7published at 18 overs

    Need 28 in 12 balls

Craig Overton misses a good full delivery then swings one high on the bat to long-off for a single.

Ben Green pulls a length ball to past long leg for four

And then gets down to meet a low full toss and swings it over cow corner!

    Pressure on Brad Wheal.

And he sends down another full toss and gets whacked into the Hollies Stand!

From nowhere, a big over and Somerset have hope.

  3. 'One foot in the final'published at 13:39 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

That was a great bit of bowling from Scott Currie, he's took a bit of pace off, Tom Abell has tried to swing it and not got anywhere near enough of it.

A big moment in the innings - that was Somerset's final hope of getting back into this and Hampshire have one foot in the final now.

Co-commentator Scott Read suggests it's one a half feet. Hard to argue...

  4. Somerset 104-7published at 17 overs

    Need 46 in 18 balls

Well who can produce some heroics for Somerset from here?

They do have some lads who can find the bleachers down the order.

  5. wicket

WICKET Abell c Fuller b Currie 50published at 16.4 overs

    Somerset 103-7 (Target 151)

    Is this the game?

Pace off from Scott Currie, Tom Abell tries to swing it over midwicket and he doesn't get enough of it.

Solid catch from James Fuller 10 yards in from the fence.

for Tom Abellpublished at 16.2 overs

    Somerset 102-6 (Target 151)

Young Scott Currie with a big over here.

He's whipped wide of long-leg first ball.

And then a single to the fielder out there brings Tom Abell fifty.

Here's that earlier run out - a brain freeze that Lewis Goldsworthy would like to have over again...

  8. Somerset 93-6published at 16 overs

    Need 54 in 24 balls

Tidy start to the 16th from Chris Wood.

A stupid throw from extra-cover concedes an overthrow.

    They can't get him away.

Just a case of Hants holding their nerve to close this out now.

  9. Somerset 91-6published at 15 overs

    Target 151

Mason Crane back for his last over.

Tom Abell gets his wrists going again and times it superbly over deep square for six.

Twice there's almost a collision on the square fence but the work is good enough to keep them down to singles.

12-an-over required for the first time.

  10. 'Going to take something special'published at 13:28 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Chris Woakes
Birmingham Bears and England all-rounder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

It's going to take something really special from here to get Somerset over the line.

The Somerset dugout will be looking to Tom Abell to do that - Ben Green is a good player and he can bat but Abell is going to have do the bulk of the work here.

  11. Somerset 80-6published at 14 overs

    Target 151

Liam Dawson is done and a fine spell, 1-28.

The innings remarkably similar here, do Somerset have a big finish in them?

  12. wicket

WICKET Gregory b Dawson 18published at 13.4 overs

    Somerset 79-6 (Target 151)

    Partnership broken!

Lewis Gregory going back to pull and one slides on into his leg stump.

Liam Dawson charges off in celebration.

A wicket to kill any momentum after Tom Abell had lifted Dawson over long-off for a wonderful six, the first of the innings.

  13. Somerset 70-5published at 13 overs

    Target 151

Lewis Gregory cuts and almost finds backward point.

He has a charge but Scott Currie sees him coming and fires it into his pads.

Then he drives to mid-off for one.

Remains a struggle this for Somerset.

Tom Abell attempts a reverse pull final ball of the over but gets none of it.

    Required rate goes to 11.57.

  14. Postpublished at 13:20 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Chris Woakes
Birmingham Bears and England all-rounder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

Somerset want to keep up with the rate as much as possible but they feel they cannot be overly reckless with five wickets down - if they lose a couple more, that's the game done.

  15. Somerset 64-5published at 12 overs

    Target 151

Here we go. Tom Abell sweeps wristily and times one well to find a boundary to deep midwicket.

The first boundary for 36 deliveries.

Singles elsewhere though and Hampshire still keep the asking rate going north.

    Peter Trego
Notts Outlaws all-rounder on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra

I can remember batting in a Finals Day with Paul Nixon behind me - he reminded me every ball what the run rate was, even asking me what aftershave I had on and what I'd had for dinner the night before.

I think Lewis McManus is probably doing the same here.

  17. Somerset 56-5published at 11 overs

    Target 151

Tom Abell tries a reverse sweep and almost drags it into his stumps.

They can't get this spin away.

Finally a shimmy down from Lewis Gregory and works two between deep midwicket and long-on.

And then a drive wide of long-off and it just evades long-off.

My word did need Somerset need that.

Oh dear, replay suggests that should have been saved on the fence.

  18. Stats not on Somerset's sidepublished at 13:13 British Summer Time 18 September 2021

    Andy Zaltzman
    BBC Test Match Special statistician

To put into context what a challenge Somerset now face, at 34-5 they still needed 117 to win.

In the entirety of the T20 Blast, now into its 19th season, only two teams have added more runs when chasing after the fall of their fifth wicket.

In the five biggest T20 leagues, there have only ever been five innings when a chasing team has added more than 117 after the fall of their fifth wicket.

  19. Somerset 48-5published at 10 overs

    Target 151

Another quiet over of spin ticks by.

We reach halfway and Somerset have gone nowhere in this chase, modest we thought it was.

Over 10-an-over required from the second half of the chase.

Good game to win from here.

  20. Somerset 44-5published at 9 overs

    Target 151

Two dots to start the ninth.

And then a beauty that rips past the outside edge. That is lovely.

A hard sweep gets two through the leg side. A pull brings a single.

Another excellent over for Hampshire and the asking rate is on its way to 10s.
