Although still to be confirmed mathematically, Notts Outlaws are poised to become the first team into the T20 Blast quarter-finals from North group after ruthlessly demolishing Birmingham Bears at Edgbaston, with spinner Calvin Harrison taking 4-17.

Second-placed Yorkshire are also in a very strong position after Lockie Ferguson's hat-trick decided an ultimately exciting clash with Lancashire at Headingley in their favour.

Kent and Somerset are the new top two in South group after the Spitfires beat previous leaders Surrey despite 87 from Will Jacks and the Cider Boys edged home in a DLS finish against Middlesex at Taunton.

We will be back on Sunday morning with County Championship coverage, and again next Friday when the T20 Blast resumes.

Thanks for your company this evening.

So there we go then, all wrapped up and done for the night.

Some pretty decisive results there as we get to the business end of the group stage.

Let's show you how all eight matches went...

    Breaking

    Durham 115-4 v Leicestershire 88-2

A long rain stoppage haulted Durham's momentum in Chester-le-Street, and despite some bowling heroics from England's Ben Stokes, Leicestershire's chase of 88 in 9 overs proved very possible.

The Foxes were left needing just 4 to win from 5 balls.

Durham remain in the top four in the North Group standings, thanks to a heavy defeat for Birmingham Bears against Notts at Edgbaston, while Leicestershire move up one place and off the bottom of the table.

Kent take the honours in the battle of the South Group's top two in a terrific match at Canterbury.

Surrey did manage to get the equation down to 12 needed off three balls.

But Adam Milne claimed the wickets of Ollie Pope, Kyle Jamieson and Laurie Evans to finish the match with a hat-trick and ensure the Spitfires got home by 11 runs.

Will Jacks earlier made 87 off 54 balls as at one stage, he looked like winning it for Surrey on his own.

  6. HAMPSHIRE BEAT GLOUCESTERSHIRE BY 10 RUNSpublished at 21:48 British Summer Time 2 July 2021
    Breaking

    Hampshire 176-6 v Gloucestershire 166-5

Hampshire win for just the second time in 10 matches.

A second defeat in as many days for Gloucestershire sees them drop out of the top four.

  7. WORCESTERSHIRE BEAT DERBYSHIRE BY 14 RUNSpublished at 21:46 British Summer Time 2 July 2021
    Breaking

    Derbyshire 153-8 v Worcestershire 167-6

Derbyshire ran out of overs in the end and might regret leaving this one late.

Bowler Jade Dernbach hit a six with the bat to give the Falcons a glimmer of hope, but the target of 168 proved too big an ask.

All credit to the six batsmen who achieved double figures for Worcestershire earlier as the Rapids move into the all-important top four in the North Group table.

  8. Surrey need 18 off last overpublished at 21:45 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Kent 191-4 v Surrey 174-3 (19 overs)

    Surrey still in this one...

Laurie Evans and Ollie Pope need to score 18 off the last over at Canterbury to get over the line.

    Adam Milne to bowl it....

  9. Gloucestershire need 20 off last overpublished at 21:44 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Hampshire 176-6 v Gloucestershire 157-4 (19 overs)

Brad Wheal concedes just nine off the penultimate over for Hampshire.

Jack Taylor swings a four down to deep mid-wicket off the last ball to give his side a sniff, but not much more than that.

  10. 50 runs

for Laurie Evanspublished at 21:42 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Kent 191-4 v Surrey 167-3 (18.1 overs)

Laurie Evans smashes Freddie Klaasen's first delivery for a huge six over midwicket to bring up a 50 off 36 balls.

A couple of fours and a couple of sixes in there for good measure.

  11. Derbyshire struggling to chase 168published at 21:40 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Derbyshire 140-6 v Worcestershire 167-6 (18 overs)

    Fine margins here in Derby.

A second catch out in the deep for Worcestershire's Ross Whiteley - this time seeing Mattie McKiernan out for 5 - looks to have sealed the match in his side's favour.

It's also all-but ended Derbyshire's hopes of making it out of the group stage.

    Hampshire 176-6 v Gloucestershire 149-4 (18 overs)

28 runs needed off 12 balls for Gloucestershire after Jack Taylor finds the boundary a couple of times off Chris Wood's over.

    Still in the balance.

  13. Postpublished at 21:39 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Kent 191-4 v Surrey 158-3 (18 overs)

34 needed off 12 balls for Surrey.

Ollie Pope does find the boundary early in Matt Milnes' over but he can't repeat the trick and Kent will fancy themselves to close this out from here.

  14. Postpublished at 21:35 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Leicestershire 32-2 v Durham 115-4 (4 overs)

Leicestershire now need 56 runs, with 9 overs being played in Chester-le-Street, where rain stopped play earlier.

They will have to chase without Arron Lilley though, as the batsman has been caught for 5 after brilliant work by Ben Stokes.

Stokes, who recently returned after a broken finger, grabs the catch at the second attempt after Lilley clipped the ball back to the England all-rounder who had just bowled.

  15. Slipping away from Surreypublished at 21:35 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Kent 191-4 v Surrey 148-3 (17 overs)

Jamie Overton departs cheaply for Surrey and hands Adam Milne a welcome wicket.

Hard work now for Surrey who need 44 off 18 balls and despite Laurie Evans being unbeaten on 42, it's a stiff required rate.

    Hampshire 176-6 v Gloucestershire 134-4 (16.3 overs)

    Another big wicket!

Glenn Phillips departs for Gloucestershire to a fine catch on the long-on boundary by James Fuller off Scott Currie.

Big test now for the visitors who need 43 more to win off 21 balls.

    HAT-TRICK TO WIN THE MATCH!!!

Lockie Ferguson completes the first T20 treble for Yorkshire as Tom Hartley sends the final ball of the game up into the night sky and Adam Lyth is there to take the catch.

It's the Yorkshire skipper's third catch of the innings to go with his 52 off 40 balls with the bat and 1-18 with the ball.

Ferguson finishes with 4-24 and Yorkshire seventh T20 win moves them a step closer to the quarter-finals. Spare a thought for Lancashire's Rob Jones, who is 61 not out.

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 171-6 (19.4 overs)

Luke Wells lofts into the off-side, Adam Lyth runs back and although he doesn't take it cleanly in his hands, he manages to trap it against his chest with his arms. Phew.

  20. Postpublished at 21:29 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 171-5 (19.3 overs)

Rob Jones wants a drink. The umpires say no.

Jones jabs down on the next delivery and sets off for one - Lockie Ferguson fields off his own bowling but his underarm throw misses the stumps.
