  1. Still raining....published at 21:11 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Somerset 152 v Middlesex 114-6 (16 overs)

Cut-off time at Taunton is 21:18 so not far around the corner.

There's little sign that the covers are going anywhere anytime soon, so Somerset could be about to come away with a win here on the DLS method.

Middlesex might feel a touch aggrieved to be denied a genuine chase at the original target of 153.

  2. Where's your money?published at 21:08 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Kent 191-4 v Surrey 92-1 (10 overs)

So halfway in Surrey's chase and they need a round 100 more to win off 10 overs.

Easy to calculate that required rate!

Will Jacks (64 not out) the key danger man from a Kent perspective but Laurie Evans (18 not out) is also there in support.

  3. 6 runs

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 118-4 (16 overs)

So many powerful shots have been stopped by fielders, you almost feel Yorkshire have more than 11 out there.

But there's nothing any of them can do as Matthew Waite bangs in a bouncer and Steven Croft hooks for six.

Waite sticks to a fuller length for the remainder of the over and Lancashire have to scrap for ones and twos. They need 61 off four overs.

Rain stops play at Tauntonpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Somerset 152 v Middlesex 114-6 (16 overs)

Well now, not sure where this shower has blown in from but the covers are on with only four overs to go.

Middlesex need 39 to win off 24 balls as it stands, but the DLS par score at this stage stands at 119, that's five runs ahead of what Middlesex are on.

  5. 6 runs

Postpublished at 21:02 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 110-4 (15 overs)

Lancashire pass 100 as Rob Jones takes two off Dom Bess. The off-spinner's final delivery is hammered for six over long-on by Steven Croft - the first time Lancashire have reached the boundary in his four overs. He finishes with 0-32.

  6. Postpublished at 20:59 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Somerset 152 v Middlesex 103-6 (15 overs)

Middlesex need 50 off the last five overs.

Somerset probably in the box seat though having taken six wickets, including three for stand-in skipper Craig Overton.

Nathan Sowter (29 not out) the key for Middlesex.

  7. Postpublished at 20:58 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 96-4 (14 overs)

At last, a boundary for Lancashire as Rob Jones square cuts Jordan Thompson. The right-hander is certainly sweating for the cause, but it's just not happening for him and he fails to make contact with a slow bouncer as he tries to lift it down to fine leg. Lancashire need 85 from six overs.

  8. Powerplay done for Gloucestershirepublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Hampshire 176-6 v Gloucestershire 44-2 (6 overs)

Gloucestershire about even-stevens on the runs count with where Hampshire were after their powerplay.

Miles Hammond and Benny Howell are back in the hutch though so over to Chris Dent and Glenn Young to take up the chase.

  9. NOTTS BEAT BIRMINGHAM BY 114 RUNSpublished at 20:54 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Birmingham 63 v Notts 177-9

Wow. That is the lowest total that Notts have ever dismissed a side for in T20 Blast competition.

The Outlaws came to Edgbaston eight unbeaten and looking to cement top spot in the North Group table, but they have shown incredible ruthlessness tonight, laying a marker down in terms of their title defence.

After reaching the milestone of 300 T20 appearances this week and scoring 34 when batting earlier, how fitting that Alex Hales should be the one to make the catch to see Birmingham all out for just 63.

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 83-4 (13 overs)

The boundaries have dried up for Lancashire. Rob Jones has 21 not out - but it's taken him 25 balls. Partner Steven Croft is on five.

for Will Jackspublished at 20:52 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Kent 191-4 v Surrey 61-1 (5.2 overs)

Terrific display this from Will Jacks so far.

He races to his 50 off just 22 balls with his 10th four, a sumptuous cover drive off Adam Milne.

There's also been a straight six in there as well, also off the New Zealander's bowling.

  12. Postpublished at 20:51 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 76-4 (12 overs)

Another good over for Yorkshire, this time from Lockie Ferguson, who ends it by beating Steven Croft with a superb slower delivery. Lancashire need 105 from 48 balls.

  13. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Somerset 152 v Middlesex 84-5 (12 overs)

Still in the balance this one at Taunton.

Middlesex need 69 more to win off 48 balls, but with only five wickets in hand.

Nathan Sowter and Lewis Hollman building a decent rearguard here for the sixth wicket.

  14. Postpublished at 20:50 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Birmingham 61-9 v Notts 177-9 (13 overs)

Four wickets for Notts' Calvin Harrison now!

Smart play from the 23-year-old as the ball seemed to grip to the surface and Rob Yates is bowled out for 24.

  15. wicket

WICKET Smith b Klaasen 9published at 20:46 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Kent 191-4 v Surrey 43-1 (4.1 overs)

Welcome wicket for Kent after a fast start from Surrey openers Will Jacks and Jamie Smith.

Smith has his middle stump uprooted by Freddie Klaasen as it goes cart-wheeling.

    Smith departs for nine.

  16. wicket

WICKET Jennings c Brook b Bess 37published at 20:45 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 70-4 (10.5 overs)

Desperation stuff by Keaton Jennings who slices a lofted cover drive, but the ball just eludes Adam Lyth as he runs back.

Next ball, similar stroke, but this time it is straight into the welcoming hands of Harry Brook.

Steven Croft is the new batsman and Lancashire need something special from him.

  17. Postpublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 65-3 (10 overs)

A near thing for Keaton Jennings as former Durham team-mate Mark Stoneman's throw whizzes past the stumps at the bowler's end with the left-hander well short of the crease.

Yorkshire have got their fielding positions spot on and when Rob Jones plays a well-executed ramp shot, there is a man at short fine leg to keep him to one.

Seven from the over in total - but Lancashire need more.

  18. Gloucestershire lose Hammondpublished at 20:42 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Hampshire 176-6 v Gloucestershire 26-1 (2.5 overs)

Gloucestershire make a decent start to their chase of 177 at the Ageas Bowl but lose a wicket in the first three overs.

Miles Hammond caught behind by Lewis McManus off Brad Wheal after he skies a miscued pull shot high into the evening sky.

  19. Postpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Birmingham 44-8 v Notts 177-9 (10 overs)

An utterly miserable few moments for Birmingham as Notts' keep the flow of wickets coming.

Tim Bresnan and Danny Briggs are caught without scoring after 6 for Michael Burgess.

Notts' Calvin Harrison has taken three in a row, too.

This all bodes very well for Notts' title defence.

  20. Postpublished at 20:39 British Summer Time 2 July 2021

    Yorkshire 180-4 v Lancashire 58-3 (9 overs)

Time for Dom Bess. Just five singles from the over. Yorkshire will be very happy with that. Lancashire need more than 11 an over to win from here.
