Last night was pretty much the perfect night for organisers. It was a great game and a impressive crowd full of kids.

The expectation is tonight’s crowd will be closer to that of a normal Blast game - older and male dominated- but there are still plenty of youngsters here.

I’ve spotted lots of replica shirts too.

The atmosphere last night was incredible. There were so many families, so many kids, it was unlike anything I've played in front of before.

I have a story for you all...

This morning I went for an walk in the sunshine from our hotel. I was casually strolling through Battersea Park when a man whizzed past me in a tie-dye t-shirt on an electric scooter.

Who was it? Only Mr Tom Curran.

  9. What's The Hundred all about?published at 18:00 British Summer Time 22 July 2021

Whether you're a diehard fan or a newbie to the sport, The Hundred is a new format of cricket but it's pretty easy to understand.

There are eight city-based teams - London Spirit, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Welsh Fire, Birmingham Phoenix, Trent Rockets, Manchester Originals and Northern Superchargers - with each having picked two squads of 15 domestic and international players - one men's and one women's.

Each team will bat for 100 balls and attempt to score as many runs as possible.

The biggest change to current forms of cricket is each 100-ball innings is essentially split into 20 five-ball overs.
