If England can keep ticking along like they are, taking low-risk singles, then fielders and bowlers will get to a point in the day where they start to get tired or try too hard. And that's when mistakes happen.
Vastrakar comes back into the attack.
Starts tidily but just strays onto Knight's pads to gift her a boundary from the penultimate ball.

It looks like tough work out there for India. There are still plenty of smiles on faces, but this is turning out to be a long day in the field on their first day of Test cricket for a long time.
Knight and Sciver bring up their 50 partnership, the third of the innings.

Is it too early to talk about a hundred for Heather Knight in her 100th game as captain?
Following her half-century, here are some of Knight's best bits from today. She's been in good touch.

I like Rana's run-up. Some bowlers shuffle and wriggle in but she creeps in. It's a stealth run-up, like a miming cat.
Dropped short from Deepti Sharma and Sciver pounces to whack it through mid-wicket for four. That's one where the short leg fielder gives the bowler a proper stare.

Knight has made three fifties in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy this season and she's carried that on today.
Bit of confusion as Sciver pulls the ball which bounces in front of short leg and rebounds off her shin pad into the hands of Taniya Bhatia behind the stumps.
Heather Knight has looked completely at ease today.
And I haven't cursed her - Knight reaches a very composed half-century from 115 balls.
Knight 49, Sciver 12
A slow start from England after tea.
Not to jinx Heather Knight here, but both times I've played against her, she has scored a hundred - so I'd like to think I'm a bit of a good luck charm for her.
Nat Sciver gave England some real impetus before tea, striking India's spearhead Jhulan Goswami for two boundaries.

In the midst of a very professional display, if you're going to be very picky then England's running between the wicket hasn't been great.
