I think New Zealand need to get on with things now. They need to up that run rate. If they can get to 140, 150 that will be a decent score on the board.

While Sophie Devine is still there, she has the capability of taking anyone apart.

Jonny: Wow! Andy Caddick fixed those quick!

  3. NZ 86-2published at 14 overs

Good over from Sarah Glenn. Alongside the wicket she concedes just three runs, and England are very much on top here.

New Zealand are going to need a good last six overs. It won't be easy - Sophie Ecclestone will be bowling two of them.

Satterthwaite was trying to be aggressive in the last few overs but hasn't quite timed the ball as she would have liked. Unfortunately for her team she has taken up 21 balls and only scored 13, and that could be crucial.

    Satterthwaite c Brunt b Glenn 13 (NZ 84-2)

    Breakthrough!

Amy Satterthwaite looks to hit Sarah Glenn down the ground, but she doesn't connect properly and she hits it straight down the throat of Katherine Brunt at long-on.

Satterthwaite used up 21 balls for her 13. Could prove pivotal later in the evening.

It's evenly poised at the moment. England will be happy but they will want Sophie Devine out as they know how destructive she can be in those final few overs.

  7. NZ 83-1published at 13 overs

Amy Satterthwaite looked in really good touch in the first game in this series, but she hasn't looked as good tonight.

She again misses, as she looks to drive, but the slower ball also foxes Amy Jones and the ball runs away from four byes.

We don't say that very often.

We've just been told that Anya Shrubsole sprained her left ankle during training on Tuesday. She’s been for a scan and the medical team will assess the extent of the injury over the coming days.

Five one-day internationals follow these T20s from the 16 September.

I think Katherine Brunt was smiling then, I don't think she would have been if there was a nick on it. She hates drops and mis-fields of her own bowling.

  10. NZ 74-1published at 12 overs

Was that an edge? There's screams of excitement from England as Amy Satterthwaite looks to drive away, but Amy Jones, stood up to the stumps, can't gather cleanly.

  11. NZ 73-1published at 11.3 overs

A rank full toss from Katherine Brunt is pumped to the boundary by Sophie Devine.

It was a back of the hand slower ball from Brunt and it just didn't come down quickly enough, and Devine punishes it.

There were signs in that last over of New Zealand just trying to pick up the pace. I think they are going to come hard now.

  13. NZ 66-1published at 11 overs

After a brief five-minute delay we're back under way and Sophie Devine takes a single to mid-off.

Here is the only wicket to fall so far, that of Suzie Bates...

Oh. Some of the lights are back on.

The England players - who are half stood up and half sat down - cheer.

    The crowd join them.

The fans at Taunton are now using their mobile phone torches to try and light up the ground.

It is like being at a Take That concert.

There was a brief flicker and then all the floodlights went out. It is pretty dark at Taunton.

The England and New Zealand players both have a drink while the umpires get together to speak to the relevant people at the ground.

Oh, the floodlights have gone off!

    Uh oh.

I think that's a good over from New Zealand's point of view, they have played really low-risk cricket, rotated the strike and punished the bad balls for four. They will hope this is the start if a bit of momentum for their innings.

I think New Zealand will be happy if they get 150, 160.
