  1. NZ 61-1published at 10 overs

Good over for New Zealand this.

Sophie Devine shows us some of her trademark arm extension to crunch away a sweep shot, before some good running sees her pick two more.

Ten off Sarah Glenn's second over.

  2. NZ 51-1published at 9 overs

This would have been magnificent. Nat Sciver sprawls onto the floor to collect off her own bowling, and she flicks the ball behind her, towards the stumps at the non-striker's end, almost all in one movement and the ball just misses. It would have been special.

England are pressurising Amy Satterthwaite here - she's only got four from her 10 balls. Sophie Devine has only faced 14 balls so far too.

This is a crucial partnership for New Zealand. They have a fragile middle order so if England can get one of these wickets they will open up an end.

  4. NZ 49-1published at 8 overs

Sarah Glenn is on, and she concedes just three from her first over.

Taunton is normally a high-scoring ground and the pitch looks good - albeit the outfield is slow - but it feels like New Zealand are falling behind the rate here.

  5. NZ 46-1published at 7 overs

Amy Satterthwaite gets off the mark first ball.

Super bit of bowling from Tash Farrant, she's taken the pace off the ball. It was poor shot from Suzie Bates though as she tried to work it onto the leg side and she has to go.

    WICKETpublished at 6.5 overs

    Bates b Farrant 34 (NZ 45-1)

    Immediate revenge!

Tash Farrant goes round the wicket, and the cutter deceives Suzie Bates, who is just trying to work the ball into the leg side, with no real conviction, and the ball crashes into the stumps.

    England needed that breakthrough.

  8. NZ 45-0published at 6.4 overs

    Oh, shot!

Suzie Bates reads Tash Farrants knuck ball, waits for it, and smashes away a pull shot. It perfectly dissected the fielders on the boundary.

The noise it made was magnificent too.

Alex Hartley wants a pavilion, or a floodlight, named after Anya Shrubsole at Taunton.

We'll be naming the T20 dugouts after people before long...

  10. NZ 37-0published at 6 overs

That is the end of the powerplay. England have done OK, but New Zealand have a really good platform to build from here.

Here's one of the five fours that Suzie Bates has crashed away.

It's really good to see Suzie Bates get off to a good start. She looked scratchy in the first two games, particularly at Hove. But she has found her rhythm this evening.

England's players are wearing black armbands for tonight's match in memory of former Hampshire women's captain, Natasha Marisa, who sadly passed away this week.

All our thoughts are with Natasha's friends and family.

  13. NZ 33-0published at 5 overs

Katherine Brunt comes back with two dot balls to end the over.

  14. NZ 33-0published at 4.4 overs

Short again from Katherine Brunt and Suzie Bates crunches a pull over mid-wicket for four more.

England have been a little bit short so far.

  15. NZ 28-0published at 4 overs

Shot! Again! Sophie Ecclestone drops a little bit short, and Suzie Bates just climbs into it and whacks it through mid-wicket for another boundary.

Bates - who has now scored more runs at Taunton that any other women's players has at a single ground - is looking to be aggressive against Ecclestone. Twice she comes down the track, and doesn't get it right, including dragging it past her own stumps for a couple.

Time for a bit of spin. Sophie Ecclestone is on...

Brilliant piece of work from Suzie Bates. It's a full delivery from Nat Sciver, there's no swing and Bates times the absolute pants off it. Off one leg as well, a beautiful flamingo shot.

  18. NZ 22-0published at 3 overs

Before that review Nat Sciver had strayed down the leg side, and Sophie Devine flicked her past Sarah Glenn at short fine leg.

Suzie Bates then climbs into a flick through mid-wicket and picks up another boundary.

    Good over for the tourists.

Sophie Devine's heel is comfortably in the crease.

I wish we'd get back to The Hundred in terms of umpire reviews... get a move on.
