The headline act was Tammy Beaumont though, who was the toast of Canterbury when she reached a century on her own ground.

She was dismissed just a few balls later, but that was only the cue for more warm applause.

    A mighty fine innings.

Nat Sciver hit a sprightly 39 from 38 before being trapped lbw by Hannah Rowe.

That only brought Amy Jones to the crease who, after scratchy start, began to unleash some terrific shots on her way to a half-century.

That brought Heather Knight to the crease fresh from her match-winning century in the previous ODI.

But as Isabelle Westbury said on TMS, cricket is the great leveller and this time Knight departed for a two-ball duck.

Let's have a look back at that innings, shall we?

Lauren Winfield-Hill nearly had as many lives as a cat as she survived FOUR dropped catches.

The England opener battled her way to 43 before eventually being caught by Amy Satterthwaite at midwicket.

All of England's line-up came in at exactly the right time today. Everyone who needed to just got something, even if it's just a 30 or 40. And it was all held together by Tammy Beaumont, who was just sublime.

Well, that was a stunning innings from England. It looks a good pitch but they still had to score the runs and boy did they do that.

Tammy Beaumont anchored the innings with a magnificent century which provided a platform for the middle order to capitalise.

They have not always done that this summer, but they did so here, with Amy Jones smashing an impressive 60 before that wonderful finish by Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt to wrap up the innings.

That's England's highest score against New Zealand and the highest score New Zealand have ever conceded.
