  1. IndW 243-8published at 16:12 British Summer Time 19 June 2021

    Lead by 78 runs

Ecclestone darts in a quicker delivery which is cut by Bhatia to Anya Shrubsole in the slips. The ball travels so fast that we can't really call it a chance.

Bhatia is struck on the pads, England ask the question but Umpire Redfern shakes her head. No more reviews left for England but would have been going way down leg anyway.

    And with that, it's tea.

It is dark here in Bristol - the floodlights are casting shadows into our comm box, which did happen yesterday. It doesn't feel very rain-y, I have to say. The players also stayed out yesterday in a similar light, so you'd think England would have enough chance to chase the total down. It does, however, rely on them taking these last two wickets in pretty quick fashion...

A short leg and silly point are getting padded up with Sophie Ecclestone thrown the ball. Can she find a bit of magic before tea?

There have been so many resilient innings from India today, showing real patience and fighting for the cause.

  5. IndW 242-8published at 16:07 British Summer Time 19 June 2021

    Lead by 77 runs

Bhatia's heart must be pumping as she faces Brunt.

The India number 10 does well to get bat on ball and is rewarded with a single for her efforts. Her immediate priority is clear; see out the next five minutes.

The covers are coming on at Southampton with some light rain starting to fall. Not what you want from a showpiece final.

I've got to say it wasn't the swiftest walk on and walk off from the two batters there.

Taniya Bhatia is the new batter in. Can India see this out to tea without losing another wicket?

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 90.2 over

    Pandey c Jones b Sciver 18 (IndW 240-8)

The partnership is broken in Bristol!

Nat Sciver has the ball full, swinging away and Pandey is strangled down the leg side. It was the slightest of touches but Amy Jones takes a superb grab.

    Sciver deserved that wicket.

More boos as the umpires wave the players off again. The radars suggest rain is coming too.

    How. Has. That. Missed?

A change of ends almost works instantly for Katherine Brunt. She bowls a beauty which pitches on middle, nibbles away and narrowly misses the off stump.

It wasn't too different to this from the first innings...

Batting with Virat Kohli must be such a roller-coaster. He'll run you ragged, demanding you run three when others would be happy with two, but when you hit one out of the screws it must be a great. He beats his bat to applaud and follows it with a thump on the back. So much fun.

Oof, that's close. Tim Southee with a length delivery which beats the edge of Kohli's bat. The New Zealand seamer then has Rahane playing inside the line. He's bowling beautifully.
