Khawaja has not looked comfortable against Leach.

Usman Khawaja works for a single, before Cameron Green forces a back-foot punch through the covers for three. That was good fielding from Craig Overton - he went haring after it and hauled it back just in time.

We think there are about 18 minutes till tea. We're never sure these days with us making up time for all the rain we've had.

Mark Wood has put an absolute shift in.

Oh! Lovely bowling again from Mark Wood. He half squares Cameron Green up and the Aussie all-rounder has a little prod but the ball beats the outside edge.

Wood has had a pretty luckless tour. He has bowled really well and it is absolutely fantastic to see his body holding up to the vigours of Test cricket.

Banged in short from Mark Wood and it rises high above Usman Khawaja and over Ollie Pope and away to the boundary.

It is that high it is given as wides, rather than byes. It's a fair enough call.

I would love Leach to toss one up and tempt Green to come down the wicket.

Cameron Green is itching at the moment. He comes down the track to Jack Leach but mis-times his shot.

Something has to give soon. Either Green will smash away a boundary or he'll be on his way.

Green was trying to withdraw the bat a little too late and it climbed on him. Stokes couldn't cut it off and he's holding his side again as well.

Usman Khawaja picks up another boundary, with another pull. He's played that shot really well.

Cameron Green then joins in with the four hitting, but in slightly lucky fashion. He looks to leave, but it hits the outside edge and Ben Stokes misfields at slip and the ball runs away.

A good over for Australia. Nine from it.

Mark Wood is back on to replace Stuart Broad.

Wood has a couple of wickets in this innings.

Spicyturner: Ollie Pope during his time at Surrey will have been under Alec Stewart, Sanga & Ben Foakes and who knows who else they’ll have involved. I’m surprised, but equally not surprised at how well he’s kept wicket.

Cameron Green picks up two more with an inside edge into the leg side. Maybe we'll see Australia go berserk after tea - there is no real intent at the moment.

Sam Billings is in Newcastle apparently and has about two hours left on his mammoth drive to join up with the England squad.

It's a curious position from Australia. It feels like they're batting time, when they don't need to bat time.

Another quiet over with Usman Khawaja picking up a couple off Stuart Broad.

I'll be honest, I can't tell you how, because I got up to put my dressing gown on. It's going cold.

That's what happens when you bring your field in - you force the batter to take a risk and go for the big shot.

That's not pretty from Cameron Green. He skips down the track and throws everything into a shot, looking to heave Jack Leach over long-on but the ball hits him on the hip. His brain is ticking. He's chuntering to himself.

A maiden from Leach. A rare one in this series.

Green is trying to play himself in and feel more comfortable at the crease. He'll want 20 or 30 minutes to play himself in before he plays his shots.

Cameron Green has had a difficult series with the bat. He's only scored 57 runs so far and you feel a score has to be around the corner or his place is under threat.

He works Stuart Broad for a couple on the on side before keeping the strike with a drop and run into the covers.
