Australia are still in control - their lead is 208 after all - but they need to be a little bit careful here. If England bowl them out for less than 150 then a chase of 270 gives the tourists a chance.
James Anderson replaces Mark Wood for England.

Smith was looking at a very aggressive move and Leach got one to go a bit quicker. It hit the pitch and kept straight on. Smith indicated it stayed low but it hit halfway up the stumps.

That seemed to surprise everybody, not least Steve Smith. It turned a fraction but Smith gave himself a lot of room and exposed his stumps.
Smith b Leach 23 (Aus 86-4)
My jinx worked! Jack Leach has bowled Steve Smith!
Smith, who was clearly looking to be busy, steps away outside leg stump looking to give himself some room, but Leach sneaks one through and it crashes into middle and off stump.
It maybe kept a little bit low, and perhaps hurried Smith a bit too.

A change for England.
Jack Leach - who removed Marcus Harris earlier - replaces Stuart Broad.
Go on, Ian! Tuck in.

Usman Khawaja has settled down a little bit now. He picks up a couple with an elegant drive through mid off.
Mark Wood is blowing, and blowing hard at the end of that over. He's bowled four overs since the resumption, so that may be his lot.
Here's how Mark Wood removed Marnus Labuschagne.
Just to make you smile at 02:45 too, we've included him taking a picture with the crowd. Why not?

He's not normally one to miss an lbw shout.

I wonder if that lbw shout was closer than Stuart Broad thought.

That's a lovely shot.
Stuart Broad was closing on three successive maidens but Steve Smith creams a drive through the covers to end the over.
There was a semi appeal for lbw against the Aussie right hander earlier in the over, but Broad and England didn't seem too interested.

Heather Rickman: Mark Wood chatted to my son for a long time after the Adelaide game. Signed his bat too. Top, top bloke.

I'm going to call it early here - mainly in the hope I jinx it - but as long as we get enough cricket around any dodgy weather, I think Steve Smith is going to get his first century of the series here.
He looks completely untroubled and just in the zone so far. He did in the first innings too before a loose shot.

A fella in the crowd has tried to catch that but completely misjudged it and its hit him halfway up the forearm. He kept hold of his beer though!

That's a really good shot from Smith. A lovely free swing of the bat, helping it on its way.

Hello!
Steve Smith pulls - almost on the swivel - Mark Wood for six over square leg.
Superb shot.

If there is going to be a storm in the next hour, as people are predicting, then it's going to have to move quickly because there's nothing on my radar.
