    Aus 203-1

Big appeal from England as Brunt raps Lanning on the front pad. Not out on the field but Heather Knight sends it upstairs. It looked very optimistic with the ball headed down leg...

Samuel Bennett: England desperately short of an additional bowling option here. Just nowhere for Knight to turn.

    Aus 201-1 (38.1 overs)

Brunt returns but her first ball is a touch too short and straight, easing pickings for the well-set Haynes who swings it away through backward square leg, four more.

The over ends as it began: with a boundary. Lanning has been able to take a bit of a back seat while Haynes has gone on the attack but the skipper wants in on the act now, hitting Sciver high over mid-off - one bounce for four.

  5. Aus 188-1published at 37.1 overs

Thumped past mid-off by Haynes - that is some welcome back into the attack for Nat Sciver!

It brings up 150 partnership and it feels like that excitement Alex Hartley is looking for might have arrived...

It does not feel like the game is going anywhere. I'd like to see Australia play a few expansive shots but because they can rotate the strike, there's been no excitement.

  7. Aus 184-1published at 37 overs

    Lanning 65, Haynes 77

Anya Shrubsole is done for the day, at least with the ball, after another steady over. Five singles from it.

Meg Lanning glances at the scoreboard at the end of the over, 13 to go and the prospect of posting a daunting total.

  8. dropped catch

    Chancepublished at 35.5 overs

    Aus 179-1

Haynes hammers the ball back at Ecclestone but the spinner is not able to react quickly enough and the ball goes past her, out to long off for one.

It's been that kind of day so far for England.

This is going rather badly for England. The Australian captain looks in the mood, here.

  10. Aus 177-1published at 35.2 overs

Lovely from Lanning, cutting a ball that was headed towards her off stump, and getting it through backward point for four.

  11. Aus 172-1published at 35 overs

    Lanning 48, Haynes 72

Another relatively quiet over but another one without a that much-needed wicket for England.

New Zealand is beautiful. It's like England, but warmer.

  13. Aus 167-1published at 34 overs

Short, wide and slapped away through point by Haynes. Four runs to end the Ecclestone over as Australia power on, the partnership is now worth 132.

Bangladesh made a good start in pursuit of 208 against South Africa, but three quick wickets have pegged them back to 72-3 off 22 overs. Full scorecard here.

  15. Aus 163-1published at 33.2 overs

Brutal from Haynes, advancing to Ecclestone and she times it sweetly to hit up and over mid off for four.

It's like death by 1,000 cuts this for England. They are being 'oned' out of the game.

  17. Aus 158-1published at 33 overs

    Lanning 55, Haynes 62

Four singles from Shrubsole's latest but Lanning and Haynes just appear in complete control.

Samuel Bennett: This is going to get messy. Australia bat deeeeep.

Yep, England could certainly do with a wicket or four - and quickly.

Lazy fielding from Anya Shrubsole, not even a dive put in there.
