They used prisoners to build this ground in the 1860s. It was designated as a ground to build for sports and recreation after an earthquake in 1855.

50 partnership from Sciver and Beaumont from the fourth ball of the over. It's not been the most attacking spell, but they're building a solid foundation here.

It's fair to say Nigar Sultana Joty isn't particularly inclined to rotate her bowlers. We didn't have a change until the 12th over, and this pair have bowled since then.

    And here comes Nahida again.

  4. Eng 71-2published at 20.3 overs

Nat Sciver drives dead straight, it clips the wicket. Did it hit Ritu Moni's finger on the way through?

No matter, Tammy Beaumont was well inside her crease.

  5. Eng 70-2published at 20 overs

    More Nahida, more singles.

It's definitely brightened up in Wellington, but the England team are still looking a bit chilly on the boundary. There's a towel being used as improvised blanket.

  6. Eng 68-2published at 19 overs

Ritu Moni's back on her rhythm as England can only stretch to four runs.

It's the third game on this pitch, it's only going to get slower and lower which is why I think Heather Knight opted to bat first.

  8. Eng 64-2published at 18 overs

Bit of a shout from Nahida for an lbw, but nothing doing. This pitch doesn't seem to be turning much.

Put that boundary to one side, and it's a small sample size, admittedly, but Ritu Moni really has been on the money right away...

  10. Eng 60-2published at 17 overs

Good response from Ritu Moni as she ties England back down.

  11. Eng 59-2published at 16.2 overs

    A bit of action!

Nat Sciver lofts Ritu Moni over her head for four. Steady accumulation may be the order of the day for England, but I think the game needed that.

  12. Eng 54-2published at 16 overs

Nahida restricts England to three from the over. It's fair to say the game does feel in a bit of a holding pattern at the minute.

Bring the fielders up, one boundary isn't going to hurt you. Put some pressure on and make the batters go over the top.

  14. Eng 51-2published at 15 overs

Just one more single off it.

This might not be the most exhilarating batting display from England, but a bit of accumulation and only a few wickets lost would put them in a reasonable position to push on at the end of innings.

I like the Kevin and Perry look, I've got a nice bucket hat too.

  16. Eng 50-2published at 14.4 overs

Fifty up for England as Nat Sciver pushes Ritu Moni into the covers.

It's old-fashioned one-day cricket that's needed today. You can't win the game in the first 15 overs but you could lose it.

  19. Eng 47-2published at 14 overs

Tight again from Nahida. A few tense faces sported by the members of the England team gathered by the boundary.

Georgie Heath: What a story Bangladesh have been this World Cup. Such a great demonstration of the growth of the women's game worldwide. They have played with ease and confidence and given some of the best a scare. Long may the growth continue.
