Cobb run out Topley 12 (Fire 19-2)

Ah, that's not good. That doesn't make good viewing.

It looks like a pure lack of concentration from Cobb whose bat was down, he goes for a little wander out of his crease not realising that Topley had touched the ball.

    A bizarre dismissal, really.

Oh no... has Josh Cobb been run out at the non-striker's end? They've gone upstairs to see if Reece Topley got any contact on the ball.

Banton probably felt it was there to hit but he used the toe-end of the bat. The change of ends does work for Topley.

Big wicket! Tom Banton tries to hit straight down the ground but the ball comes off the bottom of his bat and loops up for an easy catch.

There is plenty of movement out there.

  7. Fire 16-0published at Ball 8

Saqib Mahmood comes on to bowl and immediately gets really good pace, beating Tom Banton by almost slicing him in half. Luckily for Banton it evades everything and dribbles away for four.

  8. Fire 11-0published at Ball 5

And follows it up with a four! Not a bad start from Cobb, that sounded lovely off the bat.

That is an excellent shot. It is the longest part of the ground as well.

    That'll do!

First six of the game and it's Josh Cobb who hits it - crashed over the boundary from Reece Topley's bowling.

The atmosphere is building nicely. It's always one of the best places to play short-form cricket in England.

  12. Fire 1-0published at Ball 1

Tom Banton gets off the mark first ball with a single. In Bairstow's absence, the Fire will be hopeful the youngster can get them going at the top of the order.
