  3. Southern Brave win the toss and bowlpublished at 19:26 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

Captain James Vince calls correctly and puts Manchester Originals in to bat first.

Apparently there's a bit more rain due in an hour, so no surprises with that decision - we said the same with the women's fixture that if you're going to come on and off the pitch, it's harder for the batters to refocus after a disruption.

  4. Postpublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

We were due to have the toss at 19:15, but it's been delayed a little longer because they're waiting for team sheets. Apparently they need them before they can do an official coin toss.

I'm sure it won't be long and we can give you toss and team news.

So where do these two teams stand at the moment?

Manchester Originals are in third and Southern Brave down in seventh - but the latter have won two on the bounce including a thriller against London Spirit in their last outing, so it seems as if things are just starting to click for this star-studded side.

  7. Match to start at 19:45 BSTpublished at 18:50 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

    And it is good news!

If there's no more rain, the toss is going to take place at 19.15 with play to start at 19.45, and it will be 90 balls a side.

  9. Postpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

The minimum amount needed for a game is 25 balls a side, and the latest play can start is 21:12 BST.

  10. Toss delayed by rainpublished at 18:45 British Summer Time 5 August 2021

    Welcome back!

We now have the men's fixture between Manchester Originals and the Southern Brave, but unfortunately the rain that ended the women's game early has meant that the toss has been delayed.

However, it's not currently raining and the covers are starting to be taken off, so fingers crossed we'll get some action.
