You obviously want to get a win on the board and that is the most important thing but South Africa are only two wickets down so they could have taken that calculated risk to win quicker.

I would West Indies to bring a fielder into the ring now and build some pressure and you might just get a leading edge and then you never know.

South Africa had someone that anchored the innings and then someone came out and took the risks. It paid off for them.

Aiden Markram finished with an unbeaten 51 to his name from just 26 balls, with two fours and four sixes for good measure.

Rassie van der Dussen, who played the anchor role, ended up 43 not out from 51 balls.

It is a big win and a needed one for South Africa. The looked weak against Australia but that was a polished and professional performance.

South Africa are on the board!

Aiden Markram works an easy single and that'll be that. West Indies' knockout stages hopes have been dealt a big blow.

It was a terrific shot to bring up a well-deserved fifty. He has changed the game completely for South Africa because there was some pressure when he came in.

    Hello!

Aiden Markram has plans this evening. He hammers Andre Russell for a huge six to bring up his half-century from just 25 balls, and put South Africa within a run of victory.

South Africa have timed this chase quite perfectly.

Good from Bravo, only conceding a single here and there, but South Africa have paced this so well.

I'm surprised that South Africa haven't tried to win it slightly quicker because net run-rate can make a difference in tournaments like these.

  19. SA 133-2published at 17 overs

Shimron Hetmyer pulls off a superb bit of fielding in the deep - but his back foot has just touched the boundary ropes! He looks beyond annoyed. That's four.

And Rassie van der Dussen ends the over with another four, just widening his stance and carving the ball over cover.
