    Hello!

Reeza Hendricks clears his front leg and wallops Akeal Hosein over mid-wicket for a big 'un.

It feels like South Africa are trying to build a platform and some confidence. You can't win the game in the powerplay really but you can lose it.

    Target 144

I nearly fell off my chair when I saw Ravi Rampaul in the first T20. He's been around for so long!

He gets a delivery to nip back in to Reeza Hendricks, thwacking him on the pad, but it's too high to trouble the umpires.

Rassie van der Dussen is in at three, with Ravi Rampaul coming on to bowl.

He is six inches short of his ground and he didn't bring out the dive! South Africa didn't need to take that single at all. It was totally unnecessary.

That will lift West Indies and give them a bit more energy. The gift of a run out in a T20 puts you on top straight away.

Bavuma run out (Russell) 2 (SA 4-1)

    Where was the dive?!

A brilliant throw from Andre Russell has splattered the stumps, and Temba Bavuma is out by some distance!

There was probably no need to take that single in the first over. Temba Bavuma isn't sure, he might think he's gone here.

    Oh, he's gone!

This could be trouble. It was a risky one.

Left-armer Hosein wheels his way through a tidy over...

...now then! That's a wonderful throw from mid-off, and has Bavuma been run out?

West Indies fell away at the end of their innings and they will think they are 15 or 20 runs short and they will want a good start.

  12. SA 1-0published at 0.1 overs

    Target 144

Akeal Hosein has the ball in hand, and he's dabbed away for a single first up.

Temba Bavuma has come out to get South Africa's chase under way alongside Reeza Hendricks.

  14. De Kock refuses to take kneepublished at 12:54 British Summer Time 26 October 2021

A bit more on Quinton de Kock's absence today...

Wicketkeeper De Kock made himself unavailable for South Africa after refusing to take the knee.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) issued a directive before the match that all players should make the gesture.

Captain Temba Bavuma said at the toss in Dubai that De Kock, 28, withdrew "for personal reasons".

CSA said later on Tuesday that would "await a further report from team management before deciding on next steps".

South Africa fought back really well though.

West Indies were 48-5 from their final five overs. That has led to a below-par score.

West Indies opener Evin Lewis was really good in making 56 off 35 balls today.

He gave his side a solid platform to build from but they failed to make the most of it really. Their middle-order power failed to fire again.

It's not going to be an easy chase, but it's definitely less than what West Indies would've wanted after the start that Evin Lewis gave them.
