    Carlos Brathwaite
West Indies all-rounder on BBC Test Match Special

South Africa don't have the firepower that West Indies have at the death so they'll have to get ahead of the run-rate. They have done that so far but they'll want to keep the momentum going.

Hayden Walsh is a wicket-taker but he will go for some runs too.

  2. SA 55-1published at 8 overs

Need 89 runs from 72 balls

West Indies continue to shuffle their pack, bringing on Dwayne Bravo, who gets a bit of movement and zip away from a groping Reeza Hendricks.

That's been dispatched, though, Bravo sending down something full and wide and watching it get hoicked over mid-off for four.

England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

South Africa are just knocking the ball around and they don't need to take any risks.

  4. SA 47-1published at 7 overs

    Target 144

This is good from the West Indies' spinners, giving away nothing, with Hayden Walsh just conceding five from his latest over.

    Here's leggie Hayden Walsh.

It feels closer than the 75-25 in favour of South Africa on the Win Predictor. West Indies have something to prove and they will push South Africa very very hard.

South Africa have set this chase up brilliantly. They lost the captain early but they have made the most of the powerplay.

If West Indies don't take a wicket in the next over or two then South Africa are definitely favourites.

  8. SA 42-1published at 6 overs

Need 102 runs from 84 balls

Akeal Hosein, who took a bit of tap in his second over, returns and gets through a tidier over that's milked for a smattering of singles.

Andre Russell starred earlier on with a superb bit of fielding to dismiss South Africa captain Temba Bavuma.

That is a really good shot from Reeza Hendricks. He just stood stock-still and plumelled his hands through it.

  11. SA 36-1published at 5 overs

    Target 144

Reeza Hendricks stands tall and swats Andre Russell with more than a hint of disdain for four. Lovely stuff - he saw it was a slower ball, waited, and then freed his arms.

Andre Russell is going to have a bowl.

I love World Cups. They are so exciting.

Even when I'm not working I find myself glued to listening or watching. They are just so special. There's something about them that just has a different sense.

  14. SA 26-1published at 4 overs

    Target 144

Nice from Reeza Hendricks, leaning back and guiding a short Ravi Rampaul delivery away for four.

Rassie van der Dussen, meanwhile, is not having the happiest time out there. He decides to drop and run to see if he can inject a bit of rhythm into his innings.

Aleem Dar has some good reflexes.

The key here is just to be build a partnership and have communication about which bowlers you'd rather face and ones you don't want to face.

South Africa will want to push the run-rate down to six an over as soon as possible and West Indies will want to get it up above eight.

  17. SA 17-1published at 3 overs

    Target 144

Close for West Indies, and Rassie van der Dussen works a delivery perilously close to a diving Keiron Pollard.

That was quite easy to put away. There have been a couple of loose deliveries at the start of the over and the pressure is now on Akeal Hosein.

  19. SA 16-1published at 2.2 overs

And followed up with four more!

This is a little short, and Hendricks swirls and rolls his wrists to help it away.

That is a great shot. He just waits and then takes the risk.

That is the risk of bowling a left-arm spinner in the powerplay. They can get lined up after the first over.
