Pakistan don't need the big shots yet. They just need to lay a platform.
Need 53 runs from 36 balls
Ish Sodhi continues on his way and a superb, sprawling dive by Mark Chapman stops him conceding a four off the final ball.
Gonna be closer than I thought, this.

Erling L: Wow what a catch from Conway, this has to be the best speccy of the World Cup so far.
Jack Rule: OMG what was that from Devon Conway! That should not have been humanly possible!

This game is well and truly in the balance.
Need 59 from 41 balls
Jimmy Neesham rattles though a reasonably economic over.
Martin Guptill, incidentally, is sat in the dug out - he took a horrible whack on the toe from a Shaheen yorker earlier on. He ended up limping his way off the field.

In T20 cricket, you never want two new batters at the crease at the same time because you're under pressure at both ends.
Need 65 runs from 48 balls
Imad Wasim comes out to join Shoaib Malik, and jogs a leg bye to end the over.

The Pakistan crowd has gone very quiet all of a sudden.

That's really well bowled. He's gone fuller, it's skidded on a bit and clattering into middle and leg.
Rizwan lbw Sodhi 33 (Pak 69-4)
Mohammad Rizwan is out!
What a fine comeback from Ish Sodhi, spearing this one in a bit fuller, and it pins Rizwan right on the crease. It looks very, very out and Rizwan, after a quick chat with his teammate, strolls off, bat under his arm.
Target 135
Four!
That's a lovely bit of timing from Mohammad Rizwan, pouncing on a bad short delivery from Ish Sodhi and smacking it between two fielders in the deep.
Shoaib Malik is the new batter at the crease. Pleasingly, wearing a bandana, rather than a helmet.

Wow, wow, wow. That is one of the best bits of fielding we've seen in this competition so far. That looked like it was going for six the second it came off the bat.
Moments like that change games.
Hafeez c Conway b Santner 11 (Pak 63-3)
WHAT a catch!
This is ridiculously good from Devon Conway! This felt like six all the way but Conway, charging around at long-on, throws himself to his left, and at full stretch, clings on to an absolute belter. My word.

Ilyas Najib: A win tonight and Pakistan would only need 2 wins out of their next 3 games, I make Pakistan firm favourites to make the semi finals.
Mitch Santner is back.
Meanwhile, I'm attempting to write this live with a dog on my knee. It's not easy.

It just takes one person to get 50 when you're chasing a small target, and the game completely changes. I would say that Pakistan are favourites but if New Zealand can take a couple of quick wickets, it could go either way.
Target 135
Halfway stage.
Pakistan need 77 runs from the final 60 balls.
