I've not seen a bowler execute a yorker as well at this tournament as Hamid Hassan.

  2. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.5 overs

    Wiese b Hamid Hassan 26 (Nam 80-9)

    Dragged on!

Where has Hamid Hassan been for the last five years? I know we've not had a World Cup but why has he not been in the Afghanistan side? His skills have been exemplary today.

It is another well-pitched up delivery, maybe slightly slower than the rest, and David Wiese drags a thin inside edge onto the outside of off-stump.

Afghanistan are turning into a very, very good T20 international side.

  4. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16 overs

    Ya France c & b Gulbadin 4 (Nam 77-8)

Pikky Ya France tries to heave away but just ends up skying it up in the air and bowler Gulbadin Naib users everyone out of the way and takes a simple caught and bowled opportunity.

    Afghanistan are just two away.

  5. Nam 77-7published at 15.4 overs

Rahmanullah Gurbaz has gone off the field to have some more treatment. It looks like it is his right wrist that he is struggling with.

No point Afghanistan taking any risks at this point.

It was a terrific effort, diving in front is never easy. He gave it everything there but in doing so he may have injured himself.

  7. ouch!

    Nam 76-7published at 15.3 overs

Ouch! This looks like a painful one.

Rahmanullah Gurbaz scurries in from the square-leg boundary and looks to take a low diving catch. He doesn't quite get there and ends up jarring his hand, and maybe shoulder, on the turf.

The physio is out taking a look.

It is good in picture form, but it is even better in video form.

    Have a watch.

  10. Nam 73-7published at 15 overs

    Need 88 from 30 balls

The two batters did at least manage to cross during that dismissal and David Wiese cuts the final ball of the over to the fence.

Namibia lost four wickets for just 44 runs in the 7-15-over period. That's not good.

That knuckle delivery doing the trick again, very, very well bowled.

    Naveen has been exceptional.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.5 overs

    Frylinck c Nabi b Naveen 6 (Afg 69-7)

    Catching practice.

Again Naveen-Ul-Haq's variations deceive Namibia. This time it is the knuckle ball and as soon as Jan Frylinck plays the shot he knows he hasn't picked it. His drive just loops tamely up to Mohammad Nabi at mid-off and he takes a simple catch.

  13. Nam 65-6published at 14 overs

    Need 96 from 36 balls

Rashid Khan is done for the day. He finishes figures of 1-13 from his four overs.

The wait for a 400th T20 wicket will go on.

    Alex Hartley
England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

I think the goal for Namibia now is can they get up to a run a ball, can they rotate the strike a bit more. Then after 14-15 overs take a risk if you have wickets in the shed.

If you go into your shell it can become a bit stale. They need to try something a bit different.

  15. Nam 61-6published at 13 overs

    Need 100 from 42 balls

Hamid Hassan is just trying to bowl as fast and as full as possible.

Namibia have really struggled to get him away. He's got figures of 2-6 from three overs, and he has bowled 12 dot balls.

The required run-rate sneaks up to 14.28...

He always plays with a smile on his face, Rashid Khan.

  17. Nam 58-6published at 12 overs

    Need 103 from 48 balls

Just a single and leg bye from Rashid Khan's third over. He might be a bit frustrated he's only picked up one wicket so far.

That is the trend at this ground though. Pace bowlers had picked up nine more wickets than spinners at the ground in this tournament going into this game.

The required run-rate is up to 12.88.

Hamid Hassan is playing his first T20 international since 27 March 2016 against West Indies.

    Sorry. What!?!

He has been brilliant so far.

He's bowled those yorkers throughout his over but then surprised Smit with one back of a length. It's a really soft dismissal.

I reckon Hamid Hassan is one of the best yorker bowlers in the world.
