  1. Nam 29-3published at 6 overs

    Target 161

Really good start from Gulbadin Naib - a wicket maiden.

That is the end of the powerplay. Afghanistan are in total control. They were 50-0 at this stage.

The required run-rate is rocketing every ball. It is up to 9.42 now.

The slower ball completely beat Loftie-Eaton there, he played it far too early.

    Bowled him!

Again the slower ball does Namibia. They have been distinctly average at reading Afghanistan's change-ups so far. Nicol Loftie-Eaton tries to heave into the leg-side but misses and Gulbadin Naib hits middle stump.

The former Afghanistan skipper brings up the guns and bicep celebration like usual too.

This over has pulled things back for Afghanistan.

  5. Nam 29-2published at 5 overs

    Target 161

Hamid Hassan is leaving us with little doubt as to who he's playing for. He's got a Afghanistan coloured headband on and then the Afghanistan flags painted on his cheeks too.

It is a good tidy start from the right-arm seamer, with just two runs conceded.

That pushes the required run-rate closer to nine.

  6. Nam 27-2published at 4 overs

    Target 161

A couple of dots end the over.

Namibia have to keep attacking here. They might as well be 100 all out than 130-6 at the end.

  7. 6 runs

    Nam 27-2published at 3.4 overs

    Target 161

    Shot!

Nicol Loftie-Eaton advances down the track and plonks Mohammad Nabi over long-on for his first boundary.

Nabi stands at his mark biting his nails in frustration.

  8. Not outpublished at 3.1 overs

    Oooh! That is close.

It is umpire's call on impact so the not out decision stands. The technology runs on in that instance and it shows it would have been smashing into middle stump.

Mohammad Nabi has a smile and a word with umpire Chris Gaffaney as he walks back to his mark.

Has Mohammad Nabi got Nicol Loftie-Eaton out lbw?

The Afghanistan skipper likes it enough to send it upstairs.

Here's how Naveen-Ul-Haq picked up the first wicket...

  12. Nam 19-2published at 3 overs

    Target 161

This has been exactly the start that Afghanistan would have wanted with the ball. A win today would take them to four points and ahead of tough games against India and New Zealand would keep their semi-final hopes well and truly alive.

Those two sides meet at 14:00 GMT and neither have a win yet.

Another wonderful change up from Naveen. The batter couldn't pick it at all as it's so well disguised. A comfortable catch but in the end it looked like the ball stuck in his hands like an ice cream being put into a cone!

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 2.3 overs

Van Lingen c Hamid Hassan b Naveen 11 (Nam 16-2)

Another one. Afghanistan are in control.

This is more good bowling from Naveen-Ul-Haq. The slower ball deceives Michael van Lingen and an attempted leg-side flick just goes up in the air and Hamid Hassan, into the side today, gets round from short fine leg to take the catch.

It threatened to pop out but he hung on.

  16. Nam 13-1published at 2 overs

    Target 161

Good comeback from Mohammad Nabi with just two singles coming from the final four balls of the over.

A good one for Namibia though, with 10 coming off it. They've still got games against India, Pakistan and New Zealand to follow after today. What an experience for them.

That will give Namibia a lot of confidence. There was a lovely sound off the bat from van Lingen.

Hello! There is some of that scoring that Abhishek wanted.

Michael van Lingen takes a couple of steps down the track and plants Nabi over long-on. Superb shot.

It'll be the spin of captain Mohammad Nabi from the other end.

    He's attacking. He's got a slip in.

Namibia can't afford to get too far behind the run rate in the first six overs. If they lose a wicket or two it doesn't matter but they need to get the runs flowing.
