Carlos makes a good point. Maybe I was being too miserable. Those scenes at the end were heart warming. It looks like we've said goodbye to two modern-day greats in Bravo and Gayle there.

That's all from this game head over here for our coverage of England v South Africa which will begin very shortly.

    I'll see you there.

It has not been the best tournament but they have left a legacy, bringing a lot of love, laughter, cheerfulness and entertainment to the game of cricket.

As much as the purists might not want to see the players laughing and joking, after what we have gone through over the past 18 months you want to see moments like this.

This is how Gayle left the field a little earlier if you missed it...

If we're being serious for a second, all of this means Australia are second in Group 1.

They will go through to the semi-final unless South Africa beat England by a huge margin.

Gayle is hugging everybody at the moment. Even the umpire, who looks a bit surprised.

  13. Postpublished at 13:26 Greenwich Mean Time 6 November 2021

There are hugs between all of the players. Bravo is even cuddling the umpire.

This is definitely Bravo's final West Indies appearance and probably Gayle's. They lead West Indies from the field.

Gayle is giving Marsh a huge hug. Dreadlocks all over the place and a big smile on both their faces. That's a lovely moment.

A wicket with what will surely be his last ball in international cricket.

CHRIS GAYLE HAS A WICKET WITH HIS LAST BALL IN INTERNATIONAL CRICKET.

I have been miserable about this farce all day but you can't help but smile. Marsh was trying to finish the game off with only one run needed but whacks it straight to mid-off.

Gayle responds by leaping onto Marsh's back.
