  1. Sco 9-0published at 1.3 overs

That's another good strike from the Scotland openers, this time from skipper Kyle Coetzer. He drives Imad through the covers, picking a gap perfectly.

There are one or two Scotland fans waving in the stands.

  2. Sco 5-0published at 1.2 overs

Imad Wasim will share the new ball. While we're talking about hair cuts I'll tell you he's got his tightly pulled back into a top knot.

Munsey picked the slower ball and he enjoyed that boundary.

  4. Sco 5-0published at 1 over

    Target 190

Shot! George Munsey, Scotland's big-hitting opener who has not really fired in the tournament, chips Shaheen down town. It's not middled but is struck well enough for four.

Shaheen is grinning despite the punishment.

Scotland did a magnificent job for 75% of that innings but just couldn't hold Pakistan, who we know have that power hitting ability late on.

  6. Sco 1-0published at 0.3 overs

Shaheen's quiff is exemplary. How he's keeping it so perfectly in place I'm not sure.

I hope he has a good shampoo deal in Pakistan.

And now Shaheen Afridi is already staring down George Munsey from the end of his run.

It's not going to get any easier.

There were bright moments for Scotland and they were very good for much of that. It got away from them a little at the end, however...

    Shoaib Malik's 54 from 18 balls... Blimey.

Tim is being generous. My last over included more wides than legal deliveries.

    How are we all?

  13. Scotland need 190 to winpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 7 November 2021

That was some finale, so I'm off to decompress. I'll leave you in the capable hands of multiple 'Medium pace trundler of the year' award winner Matthew Henry.

I am pleased with 75% of the innings. They did some good stuff. It was just the back-end of the innings which is about limiting the damage.

It is never easy. There was some brutal hitting from Shoaib Malik.

    And another!

Shoaib gets a filthy half tracker from Greaves and pummels him into the stands on the leg side! That is 54 off just 18 deliveries, absolutely thrilling stuff from the veteran.

I am not sure if this was the right move from Scotland. It is easy to say in hindsight.

    Wowwwwwwwwww!

Shoaib takes one step and lifts a huge one over midwicket! He has 48 off 16 balls!

    Pak 175-4published at 19.3 overs

Greaves drops it short and Shoaib rocks back to smash him over square leg for six, and then pulls low for four off the next.

    Exhilarating stuff.
