That was such a good delivery. It turned and it bounced and it completely deceived Green.

As a spin bowler I get excited when I see something like that.

He played all round that delivery. Ashwin is wreaking havoc.

    Green b Ashwin 0 (Nam 94-7)

Debate: what went wrong with India's T20 World Cup campaign?

Proposal: not playing Ravichandran Ashwin from the start.

Namibia's Zane Green falls for a golden duck to an absolute peach from Ashwin.

A dream delivery for an off-spinner, biting off the pitch to turn past the outside edge of the left-hander and knock over the bails.

As simple a slip catch off a spinner as you'll ever see.

That is a really good catch from Rohit Sharma. Namibia were just getting into it.

Everything is now dependent on David Wiese if Namibia want to get up to a big score.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 15 overs

    Smit c Rohit b Jadeja 9 (Nam 93-6)

Ravindra Jadeja hasn't really bowled a bad ball.

After conceding just three singles from five balls, he picks up his third wicket with his final delivery of the day.

JJ Smit mistimes a drive and Rohit Sharm takes a fine catch, diving low at cover to pouch it.

Jadeja finishes with 3-16 off his four overs, having taken 3-15 against Scotland. In. Form.

India have bowled a bad ball an over really.

  8. Postpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 8 November 2021

Not much worse than looking round in cricket to see the keeper teasing the bails off as you're halfway down the track.

  9. Nam 90-5published at 14 overs

David Wiese can only get the free-hit away for a single, but JJ Smit edges a wide delivery last up away for four.

Not a good over by Rahul Chahar, conceding 13 runs.

I just wonder if Chahar is just trying to be a little bit too clever here.

  11. Nam 85-5published at 13.4 overs

Right-handed leg-spinner Rahul Chahar changes to his alternative run-up where he stands behind the non-striker and runs between the umpire and stumps to deliver the ball from over the wicket.

It's very odd. Anyone have any idea why he does it? To change the angle from which he delivers the ball?

He concedes a single the first time, goes back to his standard run-up and concedes another single before trying his funky run-up again.

This time it's a dreadful ball that is slapped away for four by David Wiese - and it's a no-ball as well.

India should have been playing this side since the start. I like the idea of them playing three spinners and they can control the game. They can do that too because Hardik Pandya can give them a couple of overs of pace if needed.

  14. Nam 77-5published at 13 overs

Another positive of India playing three spinners is the over rate is actually as quick as it should be.

We've had 13 overs in under an hour.

Ravichandran Ashwin has 2-18 off his three overs so far.

  16. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 12.3 overs

    Erasmus c Pant b Ashwin 12 (Nam 72-5)

    Snaffled!

More flight from Ravichandran Ashwin, a loose drive from Gerhard Erasmus and the Namibia captain feathers it through to keeper Rishabh Pant.

Deft hands from Pant, who didn't even celebrate as he just casually raised his hand and the umpire raised his finger.

Probably should've played Ashwin against Pakistan and New Zealand...

  17. Nam 72-4published at 12.2 overs

Ravichandran Ashwin pushes one a long way down leg and it skips away for four wides and five runs in total. Poor ball.

The slow death of skewing it straight up.

  19. Nam 67-4published at 12 overs

Ravindra Jadeja keeps it tight again. Just five from the over.

He has two wickets for 13 runs from his three overs so far.

It has been a terrific run for Namibia. They should be very proud of their efforts.

They have competed with some of the best in the world and it should give their players a lot of confidence. They can hopefully grow as players and take a lot of positivity from this experience.
