Armitage 17, Kalis 9
Hollie Armitage again showing her deft touch with a late cut for four.
Good scampering after that between her and Sterre Kalis to pinch a single before Kalis gets a boundary of her own with a cover drive that Alice Capsey can't quite cut off on the rope.
14 off the over.
Dani Gregory to continue from the Pavilion End for Stars with her second over...

Quote MessageNo matter how high the level of cricket is, when a player has hit a couple of good shots and they connect with one once again, their intent is to run immediately and fighting that instinct is really difficult. It's happened there for Bess Heath.
Sterre Kalis in at five for Diamonds to join her skipper Hollie Armitage.
Rebuilding the task once again for her side after losing Bess Heath just as she was getting going.
Diamonds 45-3
Great piece of cricket here and a big wicket for Stars!
Grace Gibbs has come on for her second over at the Hotel End but she offered too much width first ball to Bess Heath who cut behind square for four.
Next ball, Heath drives powerfully to mid-off and sets off for the run, but Emma Jones picks up superbly and throws at the stumps and hits.
Heath out of her ground by a couple of yards.
Heath 18, Armitage 10
Hollie Armitage drives through extra cover and despite a half-stop in the infield, it has enough on it to go for four.
Bess Heath follows suit off the fourth ball of the over and gets four of her own down to long-off.
Diamonds ticking along nicely here.

Quote MessageDiamonds will take confidence from the fact that they got here pretty much without Winfield-Hill today, she only played one of the six group games.
And the spin keeps on coming for Stars, time for Dani Gregory from the Pavilion End...
More spin from Stars as skipper Bryony Smith comes on for her first bowl.
Should've been another wicket for them as Bess Heath and Hollie Armitage get in a muddle and meet in the middle of the pitch.
But the through comes in at the keeper's end and is wild, really wide of the target and Heath survives.
End of the powerplay.
Skipper Hollie Armitage again finds herself coming out to bat early in the powerplay.
She gets off the mark with three into the legside that is just cut off from going all the way for four.

Quote MessageIt's the big one! Winfield-Hill not troubling the scoreboard whatsoever. She's on her way after making 65 in the first game of the day.
Diamonds 22-2
Big, big wicket for Stars and Grace Gibbs three balls into her first over.
Lauren Winfield-Hill will not repeat her batting heroics from the eliminator as she is pinned leg before after just three balls without scoring.
Wasn't much doubt that was out.
Heath 11, Winfield-Hill 0
Bess Heath finds the boundary again off th last ball of that over with a fine glance for four.
Wicket and eight runs from that over.
Diamonds 18-1
Davidson-Richards strays down legside first ball and Bess Heath glances her for four to the fine leg boundary.
But couple of balls later, Leah Dobson tries to hit over extra cover but can only find the waiting hands of Emma Jones at mid-off.

Quote MessageThe winning score for the Diamonds this morning was 135. You would fancy that they would like a few more when they have a go this time round in the final. But they'll know that regardless of what they get, they did a brilliant job of defending that score.
Alice Davidson-Richards on for the first bowling change from the Hotel End with some right-arm seam for Stars...
Bess Heath works the ball behind square for a couple with a late cut and then is denied four next ball by some good sliding fielding on the long-off rope by Alice Davidson-Richards.
But Leah Dobson shows her how to pick a gap off the last ball as she skips down the pitch and drives for four through cover.
Steady start.
Spin continues for the Stars as Capsey starts her second over...
Tidy opening over from Moore and there's half chance of a run out of Leah Dobson as she sprints in just in time before Kira Chathli can whip off the bails at the striker's end.
One off the over.
