Chris Shepherd: Bairstow seeing it like a ruddy beachball!

Bradley Robson: I don't care what happens from now, I take back what I said about Bairstow yesterday or the day before. He’s made me and many others look stupid!!

Georgie Heath: Takes quite a special innings to completely overshadow Stokes like this. Come on YJB.

A bit of spin but Jonny Bairstow pushes away, off the back foot, for a couple.

He needs two from two balls for the fastest ever Test ton for England!

Tuffers has just walked into the commentary box and said "wow".

    That just about covers it.

  14. Eng 210-4published at 40 overs

    Need 90 to win

Ben Stokes is struggling with a knee injury - he seemed to jar it in the last over, but then Jonny Bairstow teed off so I didn't get chance to explain properly.

The physio was coming out in between overs but Stokes pushed him back inside.

He's hobbling around the crease but somehow manages to run two after clothing through mid-wicket.

I was just typing he needs to be sensible but then he backs away and drives through the covers for a glorious four. My days.

Here's some more Jonny Bairstow to enjoy.

There has been some chat about his place in the side. He is silencing that.

  17. Eng 207-4published at 39 overs

A dot ball ends the over.

Jonny Bairstow is on 96 off 72 balls.

The previous fastest century for England is 76 balls.

    It is within touching distance.

  18. Eng 207-4published at 38.5 overs

    Four more!

Jonny Bairstow is four runs away for a quite ridiculous century!

It could be England's fastest hundred in Test cricket.
