Curran c Maharaj b Shamsi 2 (Eng 92-5)
The Sam Curran experiment fails. He strides down the pitch and drills it straight down the throat of Keshav Maharaj.
Two wickets in the over for Tabraiz Shamsi.

Jonny Bairstow can't do it every week, can he? Someone is going to have play very well from here if England are to chase this down.
Now then. Sam Curran has been promoted up the order What do you make of that?

South Africa's fielding yesterday was shocking but that kind of thing brings it back in your favour. That was brilliant. England are going to have bat smart, not just bludgeon it.

Oh what a catch! Going away to his left-hand side diving to dismiss Moeen Ali. That rivalled if not bettered Jonny Bairstow's from earlier. Brilliant fielding.
Moeen c Maharaj b Shamsi 29 (Eng 88-4)
What. A. Catch.
Moeen Ali launches it down the ground. Keshav Maharaj runs from a wide long-off position, dives full stretch and grabs it with both hands.
Sensational.
Moeen Ali plays a couple of flat-batted slaps down the ground to Maharaj, with Phehlukwayo twice doing well to stop the boundary. Moeen then top edges over De Kock behind the stumps and it lands safely.
We're at the halfway stage in the innings. England need 121 from 60 balls.

Ian: Come on England you must see that Jason Roy is a passenger in this team now. He has been a great servant but his time is up. His post World Cup 2019 form has been awful.
Chris Mitchell: It’s fine carrying passengers like Jason Roy when there is no competition for places but with Phil Salt primed and ready, how on Earth can the calamitous captain justify keeping him in the team?
If only this man could have stayed on for at least a few more overs.

Jonny Bairstow is the key wicket for South Africa. It would be interesting if the series goes to 1-1 with one to play in Southampton.
Over to you, Jonny.
Bairstow is off the mark with a single. A crucial partnership this.

Jason Roy walks off looking disgruntled and out of sorts. From England's perspective that might not be a bad thing as he was eating up balls.
Roy c Hendricks b Shamsi 20 (Eng 77-3)
A nightmare innings ends for Jason Roy.
The opener has looked frustrated with himself throughout his time at the crease. He goes for the big hit and holes out to mid-off.
Roy scores 20 off 22 balls. Not ideal when you're chasing 208.
There's almost a sense of relief that it's over.
Moeen Ali carves it past a diving past a diving Kagiso Rabada at backward point for four. Could have, and probably should have, been stopped by the fielder.
It worked. Roy drills it over extra cover. Four.

Jason Roy was shouting at himself a couple of balls ago. But he feel a little better after that boundary which is one of his trademark areas.
You have to feel a bit sorry for Jason Roy. He's clearly frustrated. It's not from a lack of trying. But he just can't find any rhythm. Last time I said that, he clobbered a four. Will it work again?

Liquid cricket from Moeen Ali!
Lovely from Moeen Ali. He hangs back in his crease and plays the most delightful back-foot smash down the ground for four. Exquisite.
