    BBC Test Match Special

England's white-ball team has played 12 games in 24 days - it's been non-stop. They are yet to win a series under captain Jos Buttler this summer. But all that could change today.

As always we'll have live text, in-play clips and ball-by-ball radio commentary of this game. To mark your card too, there is an hour-long highlights show on BBC Two and iPlayer at 23:20 BST.

Today is also the last day we'll see England men in action until the first Test against South Africa at Lord's on 17 August.

However, the cricket doesn't stop obviously.

There's the Commonwealth Games with the women's T20 action. Australia are playing Barbados at 18:00 BST tonight, and England are next in action against South Africa on Tuesday with Monday being a rest day. You can watch every game of that tournament on BBC iPlayer or the BBC Sport website and app.

The Hundred also starts this week with Southern Brave men starting their title defence against Welsh Fire on Wednesday. You'll be able to watch that game on BBC Two and iPlayer.

However, as has been the case for much of this white-ball summer, England weren't able to back up one performance with another and were comprehensively beaten by 58 runs in Cardiff.

South Africa made 207-3 from their 20 overs and England never really looked like getting close, eventually being bowled out for 149 in 16.4 overs.

Let's have a little recap of the series so far then.

It started well for England as they produced a pretty complete performance to win the opening game in Bristol by 41 runs.

They racked up 234-6 - their second highest score - before restricting the tourists to 193-8.

Have a watch of Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali smacking the ball to all parts.

There will be a couple of records that England will be looking to avoid today...

    • A defeat would mean that they lose the series 2-1 and it would be their third series defeat in a row in T20 series after losses in West Indies and against India. England have now never lost three T20 series in a row before...
    • It would also mean that they haven't won a white-ball series at home this summer. That hasn't happened since 2013...

South Africa captain David Miller: "We were going to bat first so that's handy.

"We've got two changes. Aiden Markram is in Heinrich Klaasen and Anrich Nortje is in for Kagiso Rabada, who has a slight ankle injury.

"Aiden gives us a sixth bowling option which helps us a lot."

  8. 'We've been searching for that more complete performance'published at 14:04 British Summer Time 31 July 2022

England captain Jos Buttler: "We like to chase, but there is obviously a little bit of weather around, but we expect the wicket to stay the same throughout.

"We have one change with David Willey replacing Richard Gleeson. It is strategic - we've been really impressed with Richard, he's done really well, but he's been carrying a little bit of a shoulder injury. David has been really well too so he gets his opportunity today.

"We've been searching for that more complete performance all summer really and what better time to do it than a decider?"
