Ben Compton, who has been there since the start, takes a single from the first ball Tom Taylor's latest over to reach 118 not out and partner Jack Leaning has yet to score.

Lancashire v Essex 259-5
Dan Lawrence square cuts Hassan Ali for four to bring up the 250 and secure a second batting point for Essex.
Lawrence is now on 88. It will be touch and go to make a century tonight with only six overs to go.
Yorkshire 4-0 v Warwicks 244
We're back out again at Headingley and Adam Lyth cracks an Oliver Hannon-Dalby half-volley away for four to start the Yorkshire reply. Henry Brookes will open from the other end with 11 overs still to come.

Derbyshire have their second batting point but England's Stuart Broad now has his second victim, with Alex Hughes trapped leg-before by a full-length delivery.

A life for Adam Rossington, who edges to Steven Croft at a wide third - verging on fourth - slip, who can't hang on. It would have been a super one-handed catch, though.
Don't tell that to Jimmy Anderson. He's cursing his luck at two missed chances.

His downfall ends a 176-run partnership with Ben Compton, who is 115 not out and has been joined by skipper Jack Leaning.
There are nine overs of play remaining.
Worcestershire have almost overtaken Leicestershire's 148. They trail by just 15 at 133-2 with Azhar Ali 44 not out.
It's an arm wrestle at Lord's where Durham are 226-5 against Middlesex as Ned Eckersley has taken his score to 39.
And Stuart Broad is back in the attack for Nottinghamshire who have Derbyshire 242-7 at Trent Bridge.
Burgess c and b Patterson 96 (Yorkshire v Warwicks 244)
What a pity. Michael Burgess drills the ball straight back at Steve Patterson (3-43) who manages to cling onto the catch in his follow-through as he falls to the turf. Yorkshire fans won't agree, but Burgess deserved a hundred for the enterprise he showed after the fall of the ninth wicket.
He batted for just short of two and a half hours, faced 106 balls and hit a six and 14 fours. Only one batting point for the champions, but they have a mini-session now to try and do some damage to Yorkshire's top order.

Two leg-side boundaries off Jordan Thompson and a single to end the over and Michael Burgess is 96 not out at Headingley.
He has added 40 in eight overs with Oliver Hannon-Dalby, whose contribution in terms of runs is zero.

Dan Lawrence is drawn into an edge off Jimmy Anderson and it flies straight between Luke Wells and Keaton Jennings at first and second slips at a great catching height.
Lawrence moves to 81, but he could easily be back in the dressing room.
Yorkshire v Warwicks 235-9
This is excellent batting by Michael Burgess, who walks across his stumps before lifting Tom Loten over mid-wicket for the first six of the game. He is 87 not out but Yorkshire can now take the new ball, should they wish.
One of Burgess' middle names is Kerran - wonder if he is a subscriber to Kerrang! magazine.

Matt Critchley gets an absolute beauty that lifts and moves away off the seam and induces the edge.
A superb double wicket-maiden from Bailey.

Peter Siddle hits one glorious cover drive, tries another one and plays on.
Innings over for Somerset. A fine bowling effort from the visitors.

A wicket Lancashire really needed.
Tom Bailey knocks over Paul Walter's off stump and his valuable partnership with Dan Lawrence ends at 97.
Walter may have played down the wrong line, but it was a good sight for Bailey to see the wicket out of the ground.
Yorkshire v Warwicks 218-9
Michael Burgess is down the track and lofts Matthew Revis over mid-off for four. He pulls uppishly from the next delivery, but collects another boundarty as it eludes the diving fielder at backward square. He advances to 70 not out.
Leach b Holland 13 (Somerset 202-9 v Hampshire)
Jack Leach has done his job in getting the team to 200, but Ian Holland has cleaned him up with one through the gate.
Hampshire could be batting very soon.

Lancashire need something to happen with it as Dan Lawrence and Paul Walter have batted very nicely since tea.

It is a bit smaller than in previous years, but it will be full and creating plenty of noise.
The first game is none other than the Roses match next Friday night in Lancashire's first T20 Blast fixture of the campaign.
The atmosphere is always special for that one.
