Somerset 32-0 v Hampshire
A trio of boundaries from the Somerset openers has got the scoreboard ticking.
They'll be pleased with the first hour. Both victories in the last two games came on the back of a huge score batting first - 458 and 591-7 dec.
Former England seam bowler Geoff Arnold - 115 wickets in 34 Tests between 1967 and 1975 - is an interested observer at the Middlesex v Durham game.
If many more England bowlers go down with injuries, he could find himself back in the team against New Zealand in a fortnight!!

While his partner Sir Alastair Cook struggled, Nick Browne has looked good so far this morning.
Since Cook's departure, he has hit excellent fours down the ground off both Lancashire's new ball bowlers.

The 2021 champions lose their first wicket at Headingley.
Alex Davies can't believe what he has just done as a caught-in-two-minds jab deflects the ball to Harry Brook at third slip.

Two balls after surviving an LBW appeal, Sir Alastair Cook gets a thin edge to an excellent ball just outside off from Bailey and nicks it behind.
Cook grafted for 29 balls, but managed a paltry two runs.
Somerset 13-0 v Hampshire
The first boundary of the day at Taunton, but it's a slightly streaky one.
Matt Renshaw guides it past the slips and down to the vacant third man area for four as he and Tom Lammonby battle hard.
Northants v Kent 22-0
Kent's openers are still together at Wantage Road and Zak Crawley now has three boundaries as he eases Gareth Berg away through the covers.
A stylish stroke indeed and he is 17 not out, with Ben Compton on five.
Middlesex v Durham 21-0
Alex Lees is all set to open the batting for England at Lord's in a fortnight and in his final game before then, he's seen some of the shine off the new ball at the home of cricket.
He and Michael Jones have taken the score to 21-0 against that wily county duo of Tim Murtagh and Toby Roland-Jones.
Azad lbw Pennington 1 (Worcs 9-1 v Leics)
Just when it looked like the new Dukes balls (see 10:51 entry) weren't having any impact, we have our first wicket.
Hassan Azad pushed forward in defence but Dillon Pennington finds a little movement in off the seam and the left-hander is gone.
