This is 15-20 more runs than Yorkshire will have wanted to give away in the power play.

Yorkshire shouldn't be afraid of taking a bit of pace off the ball.

    Yorks 89-2 (Target 205)

Keaton Jennings beaten outside off first ball, then drives a single.

Dane Vilas pulls but only for a single more to dee midwicket.

Jennings then gets a full ball and he swings clean through the line and all the way for six!

A low full toss follows and it's clipped away past square leg.

And then a smart extra-cover drive beats the in-field for four more!

    What a powerplay for Lancashire!

Keaton Jennings came into this game fresh from grinding out a career-best 318 in the County Championship at Southport this week - the first triple century in England in five years.

But it's easy to forget that, when he plays this format, Jennings has all the shots for T20 too.

He also holds the record for the highest score in a T20 final, 88, for Durham against Northants in 2016. He may need at least a repeat of that to get Lancs home here in pursuit of such a daunting target.

Dane Vilas is at No. 4 and cut his first ball between point and short-third man.

Jordan Thompson will bowl the final powerplay over.

That's a big wicket. Steven Croft was going lovely there. Lancashire still have some big players to come and Dane Vilas will be the key man. Can he guide them through this chase?

    Lancs 69-2 (Target 205)

Dominic Drakes is back left-arm over.

A wide to start and then Steven Croft gets on strike and hoists him high over deep square for six.

Then tries to slap one down the ground but it's straight to mid-off.

Solid catch but Harry Brook doesn't have to move.

  7. Thompson hits 50 from 17 balls in Blast semi-finalpublished at 12:58 British Summer Time 16 July 2022

In case you've just joined us, here's a reminder of how Yorkshire set Lancashire 205 to win.

Jordan Thompson's brutal 50 from 17 balls played a big part in the White Rose setting a stiff target.

A couple of dots to Keaton Jennings before he goes across his stumps and paddles one over the wicketkeeper for four!

Almost plays it sitting down. Incredible.

Nothing fancy about his next trick though, a good old slug to cow corner for four.

Still two overs of powerplay to come and Lancashire are making the most of it.

Lancashire have bought themselves a few dots because they are about an over in front after the start they have had.

    Lancs 48-1 (Target 205)

Steven Croft was in fine touch in the quarter-final.

And straight into his stride here with a drive through point for four.

Rollocking start to a stiff chase.

Phil Salt is dismissedImage source, Getty Images

It was a better length from Matt Revis, he tucked Phil Salt up and he got a tiny tickle through to the keeper.

Salt is absolutely distraught. As an England player he knows he needed to score more than 36, even though he has got Lancashire off to a good start.

    Lancs 44-1 (Target 205)

Phil Salt goes leg side again for six more.

But then swings outside off and nicks behind!

A blazing start, 36 off 14, but ends here.

Matt Revis with the third over.

Phil Salt take a stride across his stump and swing leg side...

...and just clears deep square! Fielder right back on the fence leaping high but can't get there.

Next ball goes finer with a flick and the fielder up inside the circle.

    Four more...and a no-ball!

Free hit is smeared down the ground for another boundary.

This is a huge over for Lancashire.

That over could have easily gone for 24. Phil Salt crunched every ball, apart from the last one, but hit the field with three of them.

A yard either side and they would have been fours.

  15. Postpublished at 2 overs

    Yorks 19-0 (Target 205)

Phil Salt steps to leg and cuts Dom Bess's first ball over cover for four.

Goes again but straight at cover and a sharp save.

Now down on one knee and sweeps backward of square for four more.

Two more slapped to cover and the fielding is really good again on the edge to the circle.

Final delivery is played to short-fine leg.

    Lancs 11-0 (Target 205)

Phil Salt slaps the first ball through cover and is this a boundary first ball?

It is, just beating the fielder's desperate dive to the rope.

Then an excellent yorker just squeezed through square leg.

Keaton Jennings out there after his triple-century at Southport in the week.

Steers his first ball through point for four.

    Nice start for Lanky.

    Yorkshire 204-7 v Lancashire

    Matthew Fisher
Yorkshire and England seamer on BBC Radio Leeds

Yorkshire will be more than happy posting 200, it's all about defending it now.

They will look to get a couple of early wickets and stop Lancashire getting in their groove.

The main difference between the teams is that Lancashire have a heavy top five but are probably lighter than Yorkshire after that in terms of batting.

If Yorkshire can get a couple of wickets in the power play they will be buzzing.

    Yorks 204-7 v Lancs

That's a great effort for Yorkshire - I wouldn't bet against too many higher first innings on Finals Day.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore set it up with 66 in 44 balls.

Shadab Khan did his bit with 34 in 24.

But the difference was Jordan Thompson who smashed a 17-ball half-century.

This will take some chasing and Yorkshire are favourites.
