Luke Wells back and Tom Kohler-Cadmore swings and misses!

And my is his annoyed with himself.

It almost seems like Wells slipped in before the batter was ready but TKC didn't pull out, tried to swing to leg and made no contact.

It was too full for the attempted slog-sweep.

    A timely strike for Lanky.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore is the 79th player to hit a half-century at Finals Day.

But nobody has yet gone on to make it to a century.

Luke Wright's 92 for Sussex against Somerset in the 2018 semi is the best to date.

But. on this form, do not rule out TKC doing it. The former Worcestershire man looks in great nick.

A second over of Danny Lamb.

Luke Wood with a stump and a half to run out Shadab Khan but misses from backward point.

Shadab then swings one wide of long-off, not with perfect timing, but enough to find the fence despite Dane Vilas' dive.

A Tom Kohler-Cadmore dab leg side brings two more.

    10 from the over.

TKC fancies some more and goes down the ground again and finds the pavilion once again!

Great hitting and Yorkshire revving the motor again.

That's a superb knock from Tom Kohler-Cadmore, especially as he struggled to pick up the pace of the pitch early on.

That is his 26th T20 half-century and a great time to deliver it.

Tom Hartley is back - and is immediately smashed over long-on.

    A 37-ball fifty for Tom Kohler-Cadmore.

    Five fours, two sixes.

Richard Gleeson is back from the City End.

Full to Shadab Khan first ball and squirted away for one.

The a low-full toss swung wide of long-off and a fumble by Dane Vilas allows a second.

Pace off and Tom Kohler-Cadmore just drives back to the bowler.

But then Gleeson gets the length all wrong! A high full toss is swung past mid-on for four and lucky it's not called no-ball.

TKC then swings down the leg side and a great catch by Phil Salt - a huge cry for a catch but Lancashire don't have a review.

Just as well - it was only hip.

Aside from the music between the overs and the pre-match fireworks, and the big cheers for the three Yorkshire sixes and the three Lancashire wickets, the atmosphere here is still to lift off really.

It's early doors in the Hollies yet. And the general sound around the ground is more the sort of polite but still quite nervously excited buzz you'd expect of any big cricket match on a pleasant summer's day.

    All rather nice.

But don't expect it to stay that way!

Yorkshire circumspect after the loss of Harry Brook.

Just run around the over for five singles.

    Another great over for Lancashire.

Only 21 from the last four.

Perhaps a level game at halfway.

The last thing that Yorkshire wanted there was Luke Wells getting Harry Brook out.

Lancashire will be pleased their usual gameplan is coming off.

But Yorkshire's run rate is good and they will look to knock it around here and try to go hard again towards the end.

The tall, lanky (hoho) and shaven-headed Luke Wells now for some more leggers.

Harry Brook tries to glance one from just outside off towards point but gets an inside edge into the ground and into his stumps!

Another timely wicket for Lancashire and they are really clawing this back.

I made the trip down the M6 this morning, alongside plenty of cars packed with Lancashire fans. Nearer Edgbaston, the fancy dress became more apparent. A group of prisoners, and, most worryingly, some cheerleaders showing far too much hairy leg. This is English cricket's big day out.

    Second over from Matt Parkinson.

Aye aye, down the pitch from Tom Kohler-Cadmore and he bangs one over long-on!

Fetched it a wee bit but got plenty of it.

Harry Brook down too later in the over and struck on the pad, cry for lbw, not out but they go for the review.

So far down surely this won't be out on Hawk Eye.

It's past the inside edge but ball-tracking has it going down leg.

Also down the pitch by 3m so umpire's call there too.

    One review per side here.

Three dots to begin the over before Tom Kohler-Cadmore dabs leg side but he can't get back for two.

Harry Brook, skipper for the day, is away straight away to pull to long-on.

And just a single to long-off to end the over.

Dawid Malan was just trying to make a bit of room but it skidded on and knocked him over.

That's what Matt Parkinson does - he puts the ball in an area and asks the batter to be aggressive, and picks up wickets that way.
