More disappointment for Yorkshire as Vinny the Viking has to settle for second place in the mascot race behind Gloucestershire's Alfred the Gorilla. Lanky the Giraffe made a lightning start for Lancashire, but couldn't last the pace.

Today's second semi-final is a repeat of last year's first.

Somerset just sneaked into the final in 2021, winning by two wickets with two balls to spare, before losing to Kent Spitfires.

They arrive at Edgbaston on the back of making a T20 Blast record total in the quarter-final thumping of Derbyshire.

Their 265-5 saw Rilee Rossouw smash 93 off 36 balls... more of the same today please!

Two-time winners Hampshire have lost five T20 Blast semi-finals in a row and will be out for revenge this afternoon.

The winners will play Lancashire Lightning in the final.

That's a statement and a half. To knock off 205, four down midway through the 19th over is a statement. That's a very good win.

Lancashire were so much in control. The power play took the wind out of Yorkshire's sails.

They controlled the momentum of the game and after 10 overs Yorkshire were walking around with no answers.

Lancashire ripped control out of their hands.

That is the first time both sides have reached 200 on Finals Day,

It also equals the biggest run aggregate in any game on Finals Day, the 412 shared by Lancashire (217-4) and Surrey (195-8) in the 2005 semi at The Oval.

    What of Yorkshire?

They were pretty miserable in that second innings.

The bowlers never built any pressure, extras, misfields, it was all a bit ugly.

Strangely, there didn't seem to be much fight and they were almost resigned to their fate from a long way out.

But what a start to Finals Day.

Lancashire through to meet Hampshire or Somerset.

    What a chase from Lancashire.

They have gunned down 205 to win with eight balls to spare.

    It was never in doubt.

Dane Vilas brings his side home with 63 in 36 balls.

Keaton Jennings played a great hand with 74 in 51 balls.

And it was all started off by Phil Salt who whacked 36 in 15.

Tim David back on strike - and he whacks one through point for four. Don't think he was aiming there but he finds the fence regardless.

Next ball he drives and finds the point fence again! This time deliberately.

Dane Vilas then uppercuts inside third man for four more!

No heroics from Jordan Thompson this time.
